Lisa + Harry Step Into The Limelight | Sacred Heart Catholic Church + The Vault | Tampa, FL

A Downtown Tampa Wedding Steeped in History for Lisa + Harry

From the moment I arrived, Lisa and Harry’s wedding day felt deeply personal and beautifully rooted in Tampa, FL. Their love story began at work in 2018 and truly blossomed with a first date along the Riverwalk… so it felt only fitting that their wedding celebrated everything they love about historic Tampa!

From a heartfelt ceremony at Sacred Heart Tampa, to portraits around Le Méridien Tampa, and an incredible celebration inside The Vault, their day was the ideal blend of simplistic elegance and classy tradition. As a Tampa Wedding Photographer, capturing a Tampa Florida bride like Lisa, who wore her mom’s pearls and her grandmother’s crown, was incredibly special.

Harry’s Valentine’s Day proposal set the tone for the entire day: intentional, thoughtful, and full of heart. Their shared passions—running half marathons across the country, hiking with their dogs, ice skating, and cheering on the Bolts—shone through in the easy joy they shared. The ceremony was filled with emotion and candid photography moments I live for: Harry waiting at the altar, nieces and nephews walking down the aisle, Lisa walking hand-in-hand with her dad, and the joy that followed as they were announced husband and wife. The overall feeling? Relaxed, happy, and truly present—exactly as they hoped.

Lisa and Harry’s Downtown Tampa Wedding was a love letter to old Tampa, full of historic easter eggs and meaningful spaces that mattered to them most. Celebrating with family, honoring their faith, and stepping into marriage surrounded by beauty and history made this day unforgettable.

Stephanie + Berk Step Into The Limelight | Clearwater Marine Aquarium | Clearwater, FL

An intimate, handcrafted celebration with Turkish heritage and dolphin-filled moments.

Stephanie and Berk’s New Year’s Eve wedding at Clearwater Marine Aquarium was a powerful reminder that love thrives in contrast. They met on a dating app, and while their differences were clear from the beginning, those differences became the very thing that drew them closer. Their wedding day reflected that same harmony—two distinct stories woven into one deeply meaningful celebration.

An Intimate Ceremony with Family from Turkey

The ceremony was intentionally small and heartfelt, surrounded by a close circle of loved ones, who brought warmth, tradition, and an unmistakable sense of legacy to the day. The intimate scale allowed every moment to feel personal, present, and profoundly connected.

Personal Vows That Moved Everyone

Stephanie and Berk exchanged personal vows that were tender, honest, and deeply moving. Their words honored where they came from, the paths that shaped them, and the commitment they were making to grow together. There was a quiet reverence in the space as they spoke—one of those rare moments where time slows and everyone feels the weight of love being promised.

A Handcrafted Tribute to Turkish Heritage

One of the most unforgettable details came as a surprise from the bride. Stephanie honored Berk’s heritage with a stunning Turkish flag veil—rich red fabric with silver sequin stars and crescent moon shimmering in the light. When Berk saw it, his reaction said everything. It was pride, love, and gratitude all at once.

Every detail of the day carried intention. The bride’s earrings were handcrafted by her close friend—who also served as the officiant—and designed in the exact shape of the country of Turkey. That personal artistry turned meaningful symbolism into wearable keepsakes, blending friendship, faith, and culture into one beautiful detail.

Manatees, Dolphins, and Iconic Aquarium Portraits

After the ceremony, we explored the aquarium with Stephanie and Berk, capturing portraits alongside the manatees before heading to the dolphin habitat. The couple laughed as we followed the dolphins around the tank, timing each frame until the perfect moment aligned—graceful movement, joyful energy, and love framed by the water behind them. The result was a series of images that felt playful, cinematic, and completely unique to this venue.

A New Year’s Eve Wedding Filled with Meaning

This wedding was not about extravagance. It was about intention. Every handcrafted element, every family member who traveled across the world, every word spoken during the vows reflected the same truth: love is built thoughtfully, not loudly.

Stephanie and Berk rang in the New Year already anchored in something strong—heritage honored, differences embraced, and a future chosen with care.

A Regal & Timeless South Asian Wedding in Florida: Sonya & VJ

As Florida South Asian wedding photographers, videographers, and content creators, we constantly reminded that the most powerful love stories often unfold when you least expect them—and Sonya and VJ’s celebration was a beautiful reflection of that truth. Their South Asian wedding was regal, timeless, and deeply rooted in culture, blending elegant Florida influences with meaningful Indian traditions, all surrounded by the people who matter most.

How Sonya & VJ Met

Sonya and VJ met through an online app and built their relationship long-distance. With demanding careers and busy schedules, their love grew through intentional effort and shared commitment. What began unexpectedly evolved into a partnership grounded in mutual support and growth.

The Proposal

VJ proposed while Sonya was attending a conference—though she sensed something special was coming. He asked her to dress up “to take pictures,” spent the day playfully distracting her, and then led her to a beautifully lit street where he proposed, surrounded by close family and friends. It was intimate, emotional, and perfectly aligned with who they are.

What They Love About Each Other

They bring out the best versions of one another—encouraging personal growth, celebrating ambition, and building a life side by side.

Life Together

From eating and traveling to working out and studying, Sonya and VJ truly enjoy doing everything together. Their relationship is a full partnership in every sense.

A Florida South Asian Wedding with Regal, Timeless Style

The vision for their wedding was clear: an elegant, timeless South Asian wedding in Florida that honored Sonya’s roots while celebrating their shared future. The result was a celebration that felt elevated yet welcoming, traditional yet personal—everything a modern Indian wedding strives to be.

Sangeet Night: A Signature South Asian Celebration

Sonya & VJ’s South Asian Sangeet Night unfolded beneath a glowing twilight sky, framed by tall palm trees and warm café lights. The energy was electric and intimate all at once. Sixteen high-energy Bollywood dance performances filled the evening with color, movement, and joy, as family and friends took turns lighting up the dance floor. It was the perfect prelude to their wedding day and a highlight of the full multi-day Indian wedding celebration.

Wedding Day Elegance & Tradition

Their wedding day was nothing short of breathtaking. Sonya wore richly embroidered lehengas in deep red and soft gold, layered with intricate beadwork and flowing dupattas—each look a stunning example of South Asian bridal fashion.

The ceremony took place beneath a grand white mandap adorned with ornate carvings and lush florals. The space felt sacred, serene, and deeply emotional as Sonya and VJ honored South Asian wedding traditions, family, and commitment during their ceremony. Every moment felt reverent, meaningful, and full of love.

Meaningful Moments & Lasting Memories

What made this South Asian wedding truly unique was the incredible number of friends and family who traveled to celebrate Sonya and VJ. The most memorable moments—from heartfelt speeches and choreographed dances to incredible food and drinks—were amplified by the joy of having everyone together in one place.

In just four words, Sonya and VJ wanted their guests to feel: welcomed, fed, happy, and completely partied out—and they delivered on every level.

Vendor Love & Gratitude

This South Asian wedding at the Wyndham Hotel in Florida came together seamlessly thanks to an exceptional vendor team. A special thank you to Aspara Events for their outstanding planning, calm leadership, and flawless execution, allowing the couple and their families to be fully present throughout the celebration.

Sonya and VJ’s South Asian wedding in Florida was a true reflection of who they are: two driven individuals who found each other unexpectedly, grew together intentionally, and celebrated their love through tradition, family, and timeless elegance. It was an absolute honor to tell their story.

Christina + James Step Into The Limelight | Hotel Haya | Tampa, FL

Christina & James’ Hallmark-Christmas Bookstore Wedding at Hotel Haya

I had the absolute joy of photographing Christina and James’ unforgettable wedding day at Hotel Haya in Ybor City, and it truly felt like stepping into a Hallmark Christmas movie—only better, because their story was real, heartfelt, and deeply personal. As a Tampa wedding photographer, I see many beautiful celebrations, but this one had a kind of cozy, nostalgic magic I’ll never forget.

A Love Story Rooted in Connection

Christina and James first met back in 2013 at work, grounding each other from the very beginning. They described themselves as opposites that perfectly complemented one another—steady, balanced, and deeply supportive. And in a beautifully modern twist, Christina proposed to James, which felt so true to who they are as a couple: thoughtful, intentional, and delightfully unique.

A Hallmark Christmas Movie… in a Bookstore

When Christina told me their wedding theme was “a Hallmark Christmas movie in a bookstore,” I instantly understood the vibe—warm, cozy, romantic, and meaningful, with soft winter tones and bookish details woven throughout. Their love of reading and travel played a huge role in shaping the aesthetic, and since their first date was in Ybor, Hotel Haya provided the perfect backdrop for their story to continue.

From the moment I stepped into the space, I felt the heart they poured into every detail.

Handmade Details That Told Their Story

This book-themed Tampa wedding overflowed with intentional, handcrafted elements:

  • Bouquets made from pages of selected books, carefully hand-dyed by the bride

  • A full book wall, built by the groom himself

  • Custom centerpieces, all handmade from books

  • Christmas touches incorporated throughout the décor

  • A guest count of 65 that kept the day intimate, warm, and centered on family

Every detail carried meaning, and photographing these elements felt like photographing pieces of their history.

A Wedding Party Made of Family

One of my favorite parts of the day was witnessing how family-centered the celebration was. Their wedding party was made of their adult children—three in total between them:

  • Jasper (son, 23)

  • Natalli (daughter, 22)

  • Rylee (his daughter, 24 and Best Woman)

Christina’s best friend, Henry walked her down the aisle, adding another layer of sentiment to the ceremony.

Getting Ready at Hotel Haya

Since everything took place at Hotel Haya, the day flowed effortlessly. Christina got ready surrounded by the women (and one son!) closest to her—Natalli, Teresa, Jasper, and Robyn.

Her balcony suite overlooking 7th Avenue created the perfect location for their first look—romantic, urban, and authentically Ybor.

A First Look Full of Calm, Love, and Joy

Christina and James planned a full first-look session so they could enjoy their cocktail hour, and it couldn’t have been more beautiful. The balcony, the soft December light, the festive energy of Ybor below—it all blended together effortlessly.

The couple described the feeling they wanted for their wedding in four words: “calm, love and joy.”
And during their first look, that’s exactly what filled the air.

The Ceremony + Reception

Their ceremony was heartfelt and simple, wrapped in Christmas warmth and framed by their handmade book décor. They kept things untraditional—no bouquet or garter toss—choosing instead to focus on connection, conversation, and being fully present with their closest loved ones.

One moment Christina told me she most wanted documented was her daughter’s dance during the reception. Instead of giving a speech, Natalli chose to express her heart through movement, and capturing that moment was powerful and emotional.

Why This Wedding Was So Special

As someone who photographs weddings across Tampa Bay, St. Petersburg, and destination locations like St. Lucia, I’m constantly reminded of how meaningful it is to tell each couple’s story in a way that feels authentic to them. Christina and James created a wedding that reflected:

  • Their shared love of books,

  • Their cozy Christmas spirit,

  • Their love for Ybor City,

  • And the merging of their families into something whole and beautiful.

Every moment felt intentional, relaxed, and filled with sincerity.

A Tampa Wedding I’ll Always Remember

This Hotel Haya wedding in Ybor City was one of the most heartfelt celebrations I’ve photographed. Christina and James invited me into a world made of stories, love, nostalgia, and quiet joy—and it was an honor to capture it all from start to finish.

If you’re planning a Tampa wedding, a Hotel Haya wedding, or a book-themed Christmas wedding, I would love to help you bring your vision to life with warm, true-to-color, timeless images full of emotion and meaning.
