How Sonya & VJ Met

Sonya and VJ met through an online app and built their relationship long-distance. With demanding careers and busy schedules, their love grew through intentional effort and shared commitment. What began unexpectedly evolved into a partnership grounded in mutual support and growth.

The Proposal

VJ proposed while Sonya was attending a conference—though she sensed something special was coming. He asked her to dress up “to take pictures,” spent the day playfully distracting her, and then led her to a beautifully lit street where he proposed, surrounded by close family and friends. It was intimate, emotional, and perfectly aligned with who they are.

Sonya & VJ’s South Asian Sangeet Night unfolded beneath a glowing twilight sky, framed by tall palm trees and warm café lights. The energy was electric and intimate all at once. Sixteen high-energy Bollywood dance performances filled the evening with color, movement, and joy, as family and friends took turns lighting up the dance floor. It was the perfect prelude to their wedding day and a highlight of the full multi-day Indian wedding celebration.

Their wedding day was nothing short of breathtaking. Sonya wore richly embroidered lehengas in deep red and soft gold, layered with intricate beadwork and flowing dupattas—each look a stunning example of South Asian bridal fashion.

The ceremony took place beneath a grand white mandap adorned with ornate carvings and lush florals. The space felt sacred, serene, and deeply emotional as Sonya and VJ honored South Asian wedding traditions, family, and commitment during their ceremony. Every moment felt reverent, meaningful, and full of love.

Sara and Robert celebrated their love with a timeless and elegant wedding on December 12th at the iconic Don CeSar in St. Pete Beach, Florida. Known as the “Pink Palace,” the historic beachfront hotel provided a breathtaking backdrop for this intimate and joyful Florida wedding.

The day began with soft coastal light and a sense of excitement in the air. Sara looked like an absolute princess in her ballgown wedding dress, a show-stopping gown that perfectly matched the grandeur of the Don CeSar. Every detail,  from the flowing skirt to the classic silhouette, felt straight out of a fairytale. As she walked down the aisle, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight.

Their Don CeSar wedding ceremony was heartfelt and romantic, surrounded by close family and friends. The ocean breeze and pastel architecture of the hotel created a dreamy St. Pete Beach wedding atmosphere that felt both luxurious and deeply personal.

Following the ceremony, guests gathered for an intimate reception filled with laughter, love, and live music that set the tone for the evening. The celebration felt warm and authentic, focusing on meaningful moments rather than extravagance. From heartfelt toasts to joyful dancing, the reception reflected exactly who Sara and Robert are as a couple: happy, connected, and completely in love.

There’s something magical about getting married by the ocean, the way the wind insists on being part of the celebration, the way the sunlight hugs every smile, and the way some couples manage to turn two ceremonies into the perfect script for a romantic comedy. That’s exactly what Allison and Aaron created: an elopement filled with laughter, unforgettable moments, and the iconic charm of The Don Cesar, where the hotel’s perfect shade of pink matched the glow these two carried all day.

There’s something magical about getting married by the ocean, the way the wind insists on being part of the celebration, the way the sunlight hugs every smile, and the way some couples manage to turn two ceremonies into the perfect script for a romantic comedy. That’s exactly what Allison and Aaron created: an elopement filled with laughter, unforgettable moments, and the iconic charm of The Don Cesar, where the hotel’s perfect shade of pink matched the glow these two carried all day.

Allison and Aaron met in college at Auburn University, of course they did. Where else would two adventurous souls who love hiking, traveling, and working out together cross paths? And after many journeys side by side, Aaron proposed on top of a mountain in Asheville, NC. Truly the perfect setting… though the real plot twist of the wedding day was him not convincing Allison to jump into the pool afterward. Allison, I’m sorry… but we need to acknowledge that would have been a legendary photo. 

Their wedding day was everything they dreamed of: intimate, family-centered, beachy, and relaxed… well, almost relaxed. Because after any beautiful ceremony, there’s always that little adventure — and for Allison, it came in the form of the classic “real bride moment”: her dress got dirty in the car. And yes, Allison, I sincerely feel for you… but it was so worth it. Because we got the photo. And photos last forever, while wedding dresses go to the dry cleaners and return pretending nothing ever happened. Now you not only have gorgeous images, you also have a great story to tell every holiday from now on. 

The first ceremony on the beach was everything they hoped for, simple, emotional, full of salty breeze and surrounded by the people who matter most. For Allison, having her family there was the heart of everything. Then we headed to The Don Cesar for round two (yes, this wedding had chapters): private vows, deep emotion, and that perfect historic charm they love so much. Honestly, having two ceremonies is kind of like working out at the gym… just when you think you’re done, surprise, another set. 

What made this elopement so truly them? They didn’t want attention, spectacle, or anything extravagant. They wanted something real. Something intimate. Something meaningful. A small ceremony in a historic Florida beach town with charm, color, and a lot of personality, just like them.

Two ceremonies, one slightly dirty dress, countless laughs, and a love story that began in college and turned into a forever promise by the sea, right in front of the most iconic pink hotel in St. Pete.

When I think back to this wedding at Sale e Pepe, one word comes to mind: unforgettable. From the moment we arrived on beautiful Marco Island, the atmosphere was buzzing with excitement, love, and the perfect touch of elegance. It was a true honor to capture both photo and video as part of the Limelight Photography team, one of the preferred vendors at Sale e Pepe and throughout Marco Beach Ocean Resort.

The couple’s love story began in the most unexpected way — over an open High Noon at a local bar — and blossomed into a beautiful romance that led to an epic Paris proposal by the Eiffel Tower. Their connection was palpable. They described their bond as balancing each other in both emotion and personality, and that energy carried through the entire day.

The color palette of soft champagne tones set the mood for timeless elegance. Inspired by Pinterest favorites and a desire for their day to feel like a big, joyful party, the bride and groom truly made this celebration their own. No fuss, no frills — just love, family, and one incredible dance floor thanks to DiBox Entertainment.

What made this wedding deeply personal was the location. Marco Island holds a special place in the bride’s heart — her grandparents were longtime residents. Though they have passed, their spirit was felt throughout the day. Hosting the wedding at Sale e Pepe on Marco Island was a beautiful tribute and added even more meaning to an already emotional ceremony.

From a memorable entrance and romantic first dance to florals that took our breath away (provided by either Signature Florals or Naples Floral), every detail was thoughtfully chosen to reflect the couple’s story. And even without a planner or DIY touches, everything flowed effortlessly. The iconic walk down the aisle was emotional, the setting sun cast a perfect glow, and the joy in the air was contagious.
