From the moment I arrived at Vista at the Top, I could feel that Elaine and Tre’s day was going to be something truly special. As their Lead Photographer with Limelight Photography, I had the honor of capturing a celebration that was less about tradition and more about intention—raw, real love, surrounded by their closest family.

Elaine and Tre’s story began with a simple, serendipitous moment—locking eyes at a holiday party back in 2019. What started as a conversation turned into something undeniable by New Year’s Eve, and from there, their journey unfolded beautifully. Hearing them talk about their connection—“raw and uncut”—you just feel how deeply rooted their love is. It’s the kind of connection that makes Candid Photography come alive so effortlessly.

Although they chose to elope in the Virgin Islands (which is so them—adventurous and deeply personal), their intimate cocktail-style reception in St. Pete brought everyone into their story. Their tropical-inspired evening perfectly mirrored their island vows—from the palm details to the soft glow of candlelight and the heartfelt moments shared over dinner.

The palette was soft yet striking: lilac, silver, and dark navy blue flowed through every element of the day, creating a refined balance of color. Their wedding at Bakers Ranch in Parrish, Florida bore the hallmarks of a love rooted in simplicity, elegance, and genuine connection.

How Their Story Began

They first met at a college house party in 2016, when fate nudged two paths to intersect. Over years of growth, laughter, and shared dreams, their bond grew stronger. Eventually, he proposed one evening on a sunset beach — the horizon glowing in gold and pink as their love story reached its next chapter.

Daniel admired her persistence, her drive toward life goals, and the way she radiated goodness. Its air-conditioned Ranch House, exposed wood beams, romantic balcony, and elegant chandeliers provided a reception backdrop that balanced warmth with elegance.

One of their chosen ceremony sites was the Ancient Oaks Canopy, where Spanish moss-draped branches and a winding aisle offered a natural, soulful setting.

Their most cherished moment came during their “first touch”, when they read private vows without seeing each other — emotion swelled as their words bridged the space between them. The bride later reflected that walking down the aisle and the first dance would remain forever in their hearts. Other standout moments included the bouquet toss to the special women in their lives, and witnessing guests relax, smile, and celebrate the night away.

They also infused personal touches: wedding favors were hand fans printed with the day-of timeline, marrying functionality and sentiment. Every detail echoed their taste and story.
