A Celebration of Love, Family, and Tradition | Arianna + Dylan
Some weddings are beautiful. Some weddings are fun. And then there are weddings like Arianna and Dylan’s, where every moment feels like a celebration of love, family, tradition, and the kind of connection that makes everyone around them smile.
As a photographer, I have the privilege of witnessing some of the most important days in people's lives. But every now and then, a wedding comes along that makes me feel like more than just a photographer behind the camera. Arianna and Dylan's wedding was one of those days. I felt genuinely honored to be part of it, and I left with a full heart, sore feet from running around all day, and a memory card full of moments I'll never forget.
Their story began years ago at the United States Naval Academy. They met as freshmen during a Halloween concert, though Dylan took a few months before finally asking Arianna out. What started during one of the busiest and most demanding chapters of their lives slowly grew into something incredibly strong. Through military commitments, life changes, long days, and countless adventures, they built a relationship rooted in loyalty, ambition, family, and the simple joy of spending quality time together.
Watching them on their wedding day, it was impossible not to see how deeply connected they are.
The way Dylan looked at Arianna—and the way her face lit up every time she looked back at him—could warm anyone's heart. Throughout the entire day, there was always a hand reaching for the other, a quiet smile, a loving glance, or a small gesture of affection. During the ceremony, family portraits, and even while guests mingled around them, their attention always found its way back to each other.
Their love wasn't performative. It wasn't something they turned on for the cameras.
It was simply real.
One of the most touching moments came during the ceremony itself. Standing together in front of their family and friends, Arianna and Dylan radiated pure happiness. There was a calm confidence between them, the kind that comes from years of friendship, trust, and choosing each other every single day. Watching them begin this new chapter together was incredibly moving, and there wasn't a single doubt that these two were exactly where they were meant to be.
And then came the celebration.
Oh my goodness, what a celebration.
The energy throughout the day was absolutely contagious. There was laughter everywhere. The kind of laughter that makes your cheeks hurt. Friends reconnecting. Families hugging. Guests sharing stories. Happy tears one minute and belly laughs the next. It felt less like attending an event and more like being welcomed into something deeply meaningful.
One of my favorite parts of the day was seeing how much family love was woven into every detail.
The wedding cake wasn't ordered from a bakery, it was lovingly and incredibly crafted by Dylan's mother. Not only was it beautiful, but knowing it was made by hand by someone who loves the couple made it even more special.
The reception centerpieces were handcrafted by grandmother, adding another layer of meaning to the celebration. Every table carried a piece of family history and love. It was impossible not to notice how much care had gone into every detail.
And truly, every detail was beautiful.
The elegant décor, the thoughtful touches inspired by their shared connection to naval service, and the personal elements spread throughout the venue all came together perfectly. Nothing felt overdone. Everything felt intentional.
As the evening continued, the dance floor came alive. There was dancing, cheering, laughter, and enough joy to power a small city.
One of the most emotional moments of the entire evening for me was witnessing the Armenian dance near the end of the reception. Watching family and friends join together in such a meaningful tradition was incredibly moving. It was one of those moments where you stop taking photographs for a second and simply appreciate what is happening in front of you. The sense of family, culture, and togetherness was beautiful.
Arianna and Dylan, thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. Your love is inspiring, your energy is infectious, and the connection you share is something truly beautiful to witness.
I have no doubt that the same love, friendship, and unwavering support that brought you to this day will carry you through every adventure still to come.
And judging by the joy that filled your wedding day, that adventure is going to be an incredible one.
