Fast forward to their engagement—Christian proposed in that very same spot, with their daughter strapped to his chest and family and friends secretly watching nearby. From the very first moment I met Christy and Frank on their wedding day, I could feel the warmth and love that radiates between them. Their story began online, followed by a first dinner date in March, and blossomed into a proposal on Thanksgiving—wrapped in layers of gift boxes until the final one revealed a ring. It was personal, sweet, and surrounded by family.

Their wedding at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical. The couple chose Clearwater Beach because it holds a special place in their hearts—it was their first trip together and quickly became their favorite place. With an intimate gathering of family and close friends, their vision of an elegant, ocean-inspired celebration came to life. The “ocean blues with hints of bling” theme perfectly reflected their style—a vacation love paradise.

Some of the most unforgettable moments included their heartfelt first looks with loved ones, Christy becoming Mrs. Johnson surrounded by those dearest to her, and Frank’s daughter officiating their ceremony and singing their favorite song, Flaws by Calum Scott. In a powerful and symbolic gesture, the couple exchanged Viking swords to represent their strength and lifelong protection of one another—a tradition that made their day truly unique.

Joy Filled Wedding of Two Best Friends

There’s something magical about witnessing two best friends say “I do.” Not just lovers, but best friends. The kind who giggle at the same dumb jokes, finish each other’s sentences, and know exactly which wine to open on a Tuesday night. That’s Brooke and Jarret.

Their story began where many great ones do, at work. They bonded over shared laughs, endless conversations, and, you guessed it, wine. From best friends to soulmates, they became the couple everyone secretly roots for. And when you see them together, you just know they’re the real deal.

So, how did he pop the question? On the beach. On their anniversary. In Cape Coral. Classic, romantic, and perfectly them. She said yes with sand between her toes, the waves crashing behind them, and probably a few happy tears (mine included, just imagining it!).

Their wedding day was a full circle moment, the same day they started dating, the same day they got engaged, and now, the day they became husband and wife. I mean… come on. That’s movie-level synchronicity.

But this wasn’t your average wedding. It was small, intimate, and overflowing with meaning. Think: elegant black and white details, soft mauve touches, beachy vibes, and guests who actually mattered, not just seat fillers. It was the kind of day that makes you forget about timelines and shot lists and just soak in the feels.

And the feels were everywhere.

From the first look (cue all the tears) to the heartfelt vows and the way he looked at her like she was the only person in the world, it was electric. Add in her son, who is so deeply loved by both of them, and you have a love story that’s not just romantic, it’s rooted, whole, and fiercely loyal.

As a photographer, I’m often swept into a whirlwind of moments. But this day? I slowed down. I felt it all. The deep love. The shared history. The hope for a beautiful future. Being part of this chapter felt like being invited into something sacred.

For Jacquie and Chris, their journey began in the snowy chill of Rochester, NY, back in 2011. A chance game of darts during a blizzard sparked something more than just friendly competition—it was the beginning of a love story that would span over a decade. Though life led them down separate paths for nine years, fate intervened once again in 2020, reuniting them in sunny Florida. From that moment, everything felt right.

Jacquie dreamed of a beach wedding—but with Chris not being a fan of sand in his shoes, the couple found the perfect compromise: a waterfront ceremony overlooking the Gulf of Mexico. The Hyatt’s Sky Terrace, perched above the beach with sweeping views of the sunset, was a nod to one of their earliest getaways together during the pandemic—a romantic dinner at The Shore Restaurant in Clearwater Beach.

Rebecca & Joe: A Love Story Rooted in Friendship, Adventure… and a Whole Lot of Dancing

Rebecca and Joe’s story began in the summer of 2014 at a chemistry start-up in Missoula, Montana. Yep, their love story started with actual chemistry. What began as coworkers quickly turned into genuine friendship, built over shared laughs, long workdays, and the kind of camaraderie that doesn't fade with time.

After leaving the company, they stayed close, and in January 2017, their friendship blossomed into something even more beautiful: a relationship filled with joy, respect, and a shared love for life’s adventures.

Fast forward a few years, a big move to Boulder with their gentle giant Bear (a lovable Newfoundland), and another spontaneous leap to Florida in 2019 for a new career opportunity. Together, they built a life filled with courage, laughter, a new home in 2021, and in 2022, a Great Dane puppy named Bailey, who I'm told thinks he's the size of a chihuahua.

And then came the day, their wedding day.

Let me just say: it was absolutely stunning. The kind of day that makes you believe in love all over again. Emotions ran high (yes, I saw a few happy tears sneak out — and not just from the couple). There was laughter, heartfelt moments, and so much dancing. I mean, these people came to celebrate. From the tearful vows to the high-energy dance floor, every second was magic.

And Rebecca? She was nothing short of breathtaking in her wedding dress. Truly, she looked like she walked straight out of a bridal fairytale. Joe’s reaction when he saw her said it all complete awe.

As the photographer, I felt incredibly lucky to witness and capture such a joyful, love-filled day. Being part of their story, even from behind the lens, was a total honor (and also a workout I’m convinced I burned at least 2,000 calories keeping up with all that dancing).

To Rebecca and Joe: thank you for letting me be part of such a meaningful chapter. I can’t wait to see where life takes you two and your two big, goofy dogs. Whatever comes next, I know it’ll be full of love, adventure, and plenty of laughter.
