Lisa + Justin Step Into The Limelight | The Westin | Sarasota, FL

Some weddings stay with you long after you pack up your cameras. Lisa and Justin Pappas’ day at The Westin Sarasota is one of those, not because of excess or spectacle, but because of how grounded it felt in who they are together.

The Westin sits in Sarasota’s downtown waterfront district, a pocket of the city where a cluster of hotels rises above walkable streets and open views toward the bay. It feels modern, coastal, and calm, a fitting setting for a couple who values the quiet moments just as much as the celebrations.

I began the day with Lisa in her room, where her mom and sister were already there, sharing in those early hours that always feel a little suspended in time. The palette was clean and timeless, whites paired with soft green accents. One of the most meaningful moments of the morning happened when Lisa’s dad came into the room for a first look. The emotion was immediate and unguarded, the kind of moment that reminds you how much history lives inside a wedding day. We made a few portraits as natural light filled the room and the pace stayed unhurried.

Lisa and Justin met at work, and their relationship grew in the everyday spaces. They love being able to fully be themselves together, always having an accepting place to land. Whether it’s cooking at home, working out, or sitting outside watching the sunset with a glass of wine, their connection lives in the simple things. Justin proposed in one of those same intimate settings, on the patio of the home they share, just the two of them.

There was no first look between Lisa and Justin. Justin’s first time seeing Lisa was as she walked down the aisle. The ceremony took place on the sixth floor, overlooking downtown Sarasota. It was short, intimate, and deeply personal, centered around the vows they wrote for each other. That walk down the aisle and the words they shared became the emotional core of the entire day.

As the light shifted toward evening, we headed up to the nineteenth floor terrace for portraits. Golden hour wrapped the city in warmth, and Lisa and Justin slipped easily into their own rhythm. It felt like one of those moments they love most, quiet, connected, and unforced.

Afterward, we returned to the ceremony space for family portraits. Family was at the heart of this wedding, and the emphasis on including and honoring those closest to them made the day feel especially meaningful.

The reception unfolded with intention and ease. Lisa and Justin shared their first dance, followed by dances with their parents, a moment they had been looking forward to all day. A few heartfelt toasts followed, along with the cake cutting, bouquet and garter tosses, and then the night opened up into celebration. The dance floor stayed full, laughter filled the room, and everyone did exactly what Lisa and Justin hoped for, they simply had fun.

Elegant, simple, and honest.

Lindsay + Matt Step Into The Limelight | Water Works Park + Armature Works | Tampa, FL

The definition of fate…

In October of 2017 Lindsay, decided to put a sticky note on Matt’s Jeep and asking him out not knowing what he looked like! Their first date was at Water Works Park, rollerblading on the river walk and now they enjoy off-roading in Matt’s Jeep, family gatherings, laughing, trying new restaurants together.
They love everything about each other, their sense of humor, love for adventure, their family commitment and friendly personalties.
Their vision for their wedding day was a rustic, easily going and a lively feel. Their day was a piece of them and Lindsay & Matt wanted to share those moments with ones nearest and dearest to them. I would say they succeeded in doing so!
Their day was fun and filled with love… from seeing Lindsay’s daughter’s sweet little face during the ceremony  to the ever so rehearsed First Dance between Lindsay & Matt. Love was all around.
We wish ALL good things and many many adventures on your Jeep for years to come.
Congratulations!

Christina + Matthew Step Into The Limelight | Grace Episcopal Church | Avila Golf and Country Club | Tampa, FL

Christina and Matthew met for the first time in Tampa at a Christmas church party where they both didn't know anybody. They happened to walk side-by-side on the way into the party and ended up talking with each other the whole night. on the day Matt proposed, He took Christina to the Colombia Restaurant in Clearwater. They both sat at the beach and watched the sunset. That's when he proposed! To celebrate, they went to The Melting Pot for dessert and enjoyed each other’s company. Matt LOVES how kinda and caring Christina is and Christina loves how bold Matt is. Together, they enjoy watching movies and musicals.

Christina and Matt Got married in the church where Christina grew up in. Grace Episcopal Church was and has always been a part of her families like so it only made sense to say their I-Do’s there. Spanish architecture has always been attractive to the two, so the couple decided to have their reception at the beautiful Avila. Their decor was classic and romantic with blue candles, large, tall florals as center pieces, and an ombre blue cake. It was honestly such a beautiful time where the both of them spent quality time together as Mr. and Mrs. Congratulations!!!

Kristine + Jacob Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

Krissy and Jacob’s love story began on March 22nd, 2013 during their spring semester at the University of Tampa, Jake was a senior and Krissy was a junior.  They were out with their respective friends and local college hang out and bumped into each other. Jake bought Krissy a drink and the rest was history.

The fall of 2017, was a crazy time period for Krissy and Jake. In October, Jake had decided that he wanted to make Krissy his forever and got blessings from Krissy’s parents. Krissy’s parents then gave Jake a diamond. Jake decided on a plan to propose to Krissy in Florida during Christmas. However, tragedy happened when Krissy’s dad got hurt in a hunting accident. So, Jake changed his plan. He, Krissy, and their fur baby Chase drove up to Cleveland for the holidays to spend time with her family. While they were headed out to dinner in downtown Cleveland Jake saw the city square lit up so beautifully that he stopped and asked Krissy to come with him. They were standing in front of the Christmas tree and Jake dropped down on one knee.

Krissy and Jake love everything about each other, especially how they are able to make one another laugh. They are truly best friends in every way and love spending time on the beach walking their fur babies, Chase and Hayden. For their wedding they decided to have it in Tampa since it is where they met and where they live. Most of their family are from the Ohio and New Jersey so it was a perfect time to get their family out of the freezing north and enjoy some beautiful Tampa weather. Krissy and Jake’s inspiration for their wedding was to incorporate their love for animals and what better place to do it than The Florida Aquarium! They even had extra special guests at the ceremony, penguins!

Congratulation’s on finding your forever Krissy + Jake!
