Tami + William Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

A Love as Unique as Mr. & Mrs. Weers’ Wedding Celebration at The Tampa Aquarium.

There are weddings that are beautiful. There are weddings that are joyful. And then… there are weddings like this one, where love, laughter, dinosaurs, and Legos come together to create absolute magic.

From the moment I met this couple, I could feel their energy, vibrant, sincere, and unapologetically authentic. Their love story started like a good rom-com (the modern kind, where the algorithm plays Cupid): they met on Facebook and were coworkers at the time, both passionate teachers. A few conversations turned into late night chats, and soon they were each other’s forever person.

Their proposal? Oh, it deserves a whole movie scene of its own. Picture this: a school parking lot, students and colleagues holding up a huge sign from below, asking one very important question. And there, with the perfect timing of a romance novelist, he drops to one knee beside her. In broad daylight. During lunch. If that doesn’t scream “teacher love story,” I don’t know what does!

Fast forward to the wedding day and wow. Let me just say, I’ve photographed many weddings, but this one? It felt like stepping into their hearts. They chose an aquarium as their venue, not just because it's stunning (which it absolutely is), but because it’s them. It was a celebration that completely tossed the “wedding rule book” overboard and said, “Let’s do this our way.”

There were no flowers, because she doesn’t like them (and honestly, who said flowers are mandatory anyway?). Instead? Seashells! There was no boring ring box, instead? A football. The card box? LEGO, of course. And the cake? Oh, the cake. Not only was it topped with dinosaurs (yes, DINOSAURS), but their four beloved pups were part of the design too. Tell me that’s not love.

But the most touching moment, and one I’ll never forget, was the first look. They chose to say their vows in that quiet, private moment, no crowd, just them. It was raw. Real. Emotional. And it reminded me of why I do what I do. To witness love that’s deep, genuine, and soul-shaking. To freeze those moments in time for people who truly see each other.

Together, they are the perfect yin to the other’s yang. They lift each other up, challenge one another to grow, and laugh a lot. From football Sundays to Hobby Lobby trips, from food tours to movie nights, their life is stitched together with the kind of joy that comes from being completely at home in someone else's presence.

As a photographer, I felt beyond honored to be part of such a day. There was so much heart, so much laughter, and such a radiant energy all around, I truly felt like I wasn’t just capturing moments, I was feeling them too. The love, the joy, the weird and wonderful details,  it was all so beautifully them, Including the sharks in the background haha.

So here’s to Mr. & Mrs. Weers, may your life together always be full of seashells, dinosaurs, and the kind of love that inspires everyone lucky enough to witness it.

With love, Natalia Fontes and Limelight.

Elizabeth + John Step Into The Limelight | Sirata Beach Resort | St. Pete Beach, FL

A Christ-Centered Beach Wedding | Sirata Beach Resort

As a wedding photographer in St. Pete, Florida, I have the privilege of capturing so many beautiful love stories — but Elizabeth and John’s wedding at Sirata Beach Resort was one I’ll never forget. From the very first moment I met them, I could feel that their love was rooted in something deeper — a shared calling, unwavering faith, and a sense of purpose that shaped every detail of their day.

Their story began on the cobblestone streets of Prague, where John proposed on Christmas morning just before the sunrise. It was the perfect start to a journey marked by adventure, grace, and heartfelt connection. Together, they’ve traveled across Europe, shared their passion for ministry, and now — they've said “I do” with their toes in the sand and the ocean at their backs.

Elizabeth, a proud Michigander, always dreamed of a beach wedding like the ones she grew up admiring along the Lake Michigan shoreline. And while she didn’t get Lake Michigan, she found the next best thing — the stunning Gulf Coast right here in St. Pete. It was a meaningful tribute to her roots, and a perfect match for John, a Miami native and avid diver who feels most alive by the water.

Their wedding was filled with intentionality and spirit. It was held on what would have been Elizabeth’s Grandma Ingersoll’s birthday — a woman who played a major role in her life and who had once gifted her a gold wedding band in hopes it would lead her to the man of her dreams. That ring, and her presence in spirit, made the ceremony even more profound.

The moment Elizabeth walked down the aisle to an instrumental version of Goodness of God, the atmosphere was drenched in love and reverence. John’s eyes welled with tears. They exchanged personal vows and sealed their union with a tender first kiss, just as the waves lapped gently behind them. As a St. Pete photographer who specializes in photojournalistic photography, I live for moments like these — raw, honest, and completely unposed.

The reception was equally joyful. Guests laughed and cried during the speeches, and everyone was stunned when Elizabeth and John performed a secretly rehearsed first dance. These two may be quiet behind-the-scenes people, but their love speaks volumes — especially when they’re twirling barefoot on the sand, beaming with joy.

Elizabeth’s DIY centerpieces added a beautiful touch to the evening, but the remembrance table truly stood out. She honored not only her grandparents, but the legacies of her great-grandparents too — including their wedding anniversaries and how many years they were married. It was a tender nod to the generations who paved the way.

As the sun dipped low behind the horizon, we snuck away for their sunset portraits — just the two of them. That quiet space, away from the crowd, allowed for some of the most intimate and emotive wedding candids of the day. The love between them was palpable, glowing just as golden as the sky around us.

Elizabeth and John’s wedding reminded me why I love capturing wedding photography in St. Pete. It’s not just about beautiful scenery or perfect lighting — though those things help! It’s about telling the stories that matter. The ones that echo long after the day is done.

To Elizabeth and John — thank you for sharing your journey and allowing me to witness a day overflowing with purpose, love, and the presence of God. May your marriage be as rich and radiant as your wedding day.

With love,
Dafne

Lynn + Bruce Step Into The Limelight | Wyndham Grand Clearwater Beach | Clearwater, FL

Lynn & Bruce - A Love That Speaks Through a Gaze

I may not know how Lynn and Bruce met, or the full story that brought them to this day but what I do know is that I witnessed one of the most incredible chapters of their journey: their wedding day.

From behind my lens, I saw something rare. Their gaze alone told a story richer than any words could express. In fact, it felt like words weren’t even necessary. Every time Lynn and Bruce looked at each other, there was something magnetic, something timeless happening between them.

Throughout the entire celebration, they were locked in eye contact completely present, completely in love. There were no forced poses, no fake laughter, and no staged kisses. Everything was real. Everything was pure. Everything felt magical when they were together.

As a photographer, I’m always honored to witness love. But this was something else. Their connection moved me in ways I didn’t expect. I found myself emotional more than once. They reminded me that love has no age limit that joy, passion, and connection are available to us if we simply allow ourselves to live fully and love deeply.

Lynn and Bruce, thank you for letting me be part of such a beautiful and meaningful day. Thank you for teaching me without even saying a word that happiness is found in the simplest moments.

I wish you a life filled with laughter, love, and adventure. May you travel far and wide and savor all the best this world has to offer. Congratulations from the bottom of my heart.

Lindsey + Davis Step Into The Limelight | Cross Creek Ranch | Dover, FL

Lindsey & Davis’s Magical Ranch Wedding at Cross Creek Ranch

After photographing Lindsey and Davis’s beachy engagement session at Redington Shores last year, I knew their wedding would be something special—and wow, was it ever.

Held at the gorgeous Cross Creek Ranch (aka Florida’s dreamiest all-inclusive venue), their big day was the perfect blend of rustic charm, elegant details, and all the feels.

The morning kicked off in The Main House, where Lindsey, her bridesmaids, and both moms got glammed up. There were champagne toasts, nonstop laughter, and a sweet moment when the bridesmaids gathered to pray over Lindsey before she walked down the aisle.

Cue the waterworks for not one, but three first looks. First with her dad on the bridge, then with Davis’s son Mason (so sweet!), and finally, a tearful, joyful serene moment with Davis in the greenhouse.

The ceremony took place in The Enchanted Forest, yes, it’s as magical as it sounds. Surrounded by towering oaks and lush greenery, Lindsey and Davis said “I do” in front of their closest family and friends.

Then it was on to the Carriage House Stable for a cozy, candlelit reception. Think rustic barn vibes with vintage flair and an antique bar. The toasts kicked off with laughter and love, but their son Mason stole the spotlight with a heartfelt speech that had everyone reaching for tissues.

A sparkler exit and a light drizzle wrapped up the night in the most romantic way possible. Rain or shine, these two radiated pure joy and I’m so honored I got to capture it all.

Congrats, Lindsey & Davis what a day!

Collynne + Eric Step Into The Limelight | Nova 535 | St. Pete, FL

A Fun and Classy Celebration: Collynne & Eric’s Wedding Day

Some love stories start with a chance encounter, and others begin with a simple swipe. For Collynne and Eric, it all started on Bumble in July 2022 a modern spark that led to an unforgettable connection.

Fast forward to a magical night at a Justin Timberlake concert, where Eric popped the question while JT performed Selfish—a song written for his own wife. A beautiful, intimate proposal that perfectly captured the love between two people who truly see themselves as a team.

When you meet Collynne and Eric, you instantly feel their connection. Whether they’re volunteering in the community, dancing waist-deep in the pool, enjoying concerts, working out, or sharing long walks and deeper talks, they do everything as a duo. Their bond is built on shared passions and unwavering support.

Their wedding day was nothing short of a happily ever after. The couple chose a local venue with a beautiful atmosphere a place that invited their guests to dance, celebrate, and feel the joy in the air. The style? Fun and classy, just like them.

From the beginning of the day to the last song played, this wedding was filled with meaningful moments. One of the most special? The first look on the aisle a heartfelt, emotional moment that neither will ever forget.

The soundtrack of their day played a huge role in creating the vibe setting the tone for every heartfelt glance, every tear, every laugh, and every dance. But above all, what stood out the most was the presence of their friends and family all together in one place, celebrating their love.

When asked what made their wedding unique, their answer was simple: “It’s ours” No DIY, no over-the-top frills just love, laughter, and a celebration that was deeply, beautifully theirs.

In four words, they captured the essence of their day: Happy. Comfortable. Excited. United. And that’s exactly how it felt for everyone lucky enough to be there.

On a personal note, it was truly an honor to be part of Collynne and Eric’s wedding. Living this moment filled with emotion and happiness was an unforgettable experience.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you both endless joy and a life as beautiful as the love you share a love that touches everyone who crosses your path with respect and kindness.
