Jennifer + Rodney Step Into The Limelight | The Don CeSar | St. Pete Beach, FL

A Love 44 Years in the Making and the Most Magical “I Do” at the Iconic Don Cesar.

There are weddings… and then there are weddings that feel like they were written by the universe itself. The kind that give you chills, bring tears to your eyes, and leave your heart bursting wide open. This was that kind of wedding and I, feel like the luckiest person in the world for having been part of it.

It all started at a middle school bus stop.

Boy tries to pull a silly prank on girl’s little brother.
Girl fierce, protective, unstoppable threatens to rearrange his face.
Boy, terrified (and probably a little impressed), decides to never go near her again.
Until years later, when life brings them back together at a party. And this time? He sees her for who she truly is: funny, brilliant, gorgeous and kind. That night ends with a kiss. High school dances follow. He even rocks a purple cummerbund to match her dress a true love flex if there ever was one.

But as young love often does, life takes them in different directions. She moves to Ohio, becomes a pharmacist, raises two beautiful daughters. He stays in Florida, becomes a journalist, builds a family of his own. Years pass. Decades, even. There are joys. There are heartbreaks. There is growth.

Then one day after an unimaginable loss, he reaches out to her, not just for advice, but for comfort. And what she offers isn’t just words… it’s healing. A laugh that lights up the dark. A voice that feels like home.

A James Taylor concert in Columbus becomes their second first date. And three years later, 44 years after that bus stop encounter, they’re saying “I do” at The Don Cesar, one of the most breathtaking wedding venues in the world.

And let me tell you… this place isn’t just a venue. It’s a dream.

The Don is pure magic, like stepping into a fairytale. That soft-pink palace rising above the sand, the ocean breeze, the glowing sunset that seemed like it was painted just for them. People dream of getting married here their whole lives. And watching these two soulmates tie the knot in a place so magnificent felt like witnessing a scene from a movie but better, because it was real.

I stood there with my camera, heart pounding, goosebumps on my arms, trying to hold back tears as I captured it all. The way he looked at her when she walked down the aisle. The way she laughed during their vows. The way every single guest had this look of, “We are witnessing something sacred here.”

And then… the cherry on top? Their love story, this honest, beautiful, soul-stirring journey will be published in The New York Times. Immortalized forever. Just like their love deserves to be.

To this incredible couple: You have touched everyone around you with the power of your story. You’ve reminded us that it’s never too late for love, for laughter, for butterflies, for that feeling of “home.” I wish you a life full of late-night dancing in the kitchen, shared sunrises, deep talks, and constant awe at how lucky you are to have found each other again.

Thank you for letting me, be there, not just as a photographer, but as a witness to something that felt like divine timing.

From the bottom of my heart, I wish you a forever that’s even more beautiful than this perfect day.

With love, always, Natalia

Jemma Rose + Chase | Isla Del Sol Yacht & Country Club | St. Pete, FL

From the very beginning—starting with their engagement session—I just knew Jemma and Chase were something special. This couple radiates such effortless warmth and joy; it was truly an honor to capture both their love story and their wedding day alongside my talented second photographer, PJ.

Their wedding took place at the breathtaking Isla del Sol Yacht & Country Club, one of the most picturesque venues for wedding photography in St Pete, Florida. With its sweeping waterfront views and tropical vibes, it perfectly reflected the relaxed and natural energy Jemma and Chase envisioned.

Their love story began back in 2019 in Los Angeles, where Jemma was completing an internship and Chase was working. Years later, Chase popped the question in the sweetest way—right in their apartment in Gainesville, surrounded by bouquets and candles, creating an intimate and heartfelt proposal.

These two are the epitome of laid-back romance. They’re big foodies who love exploring new restaurants and sharing life’s little adventures together. They’re so easygoing, and the way they make each other feel seen and comfortable is honestly beautiful to witness.

Their St Pete wedding photography vision was all about a tropical, coastal atmosphere—relaxed yet refined. Jemma’s boho-inspired dress flowed in the beach breeze, while the bridesmaids looked stunning in ocean blue gowns that tied in perfectly with the waterfront backdrop. The ceremony was held outdoors beneath swaying palm trees, where they read their personal vows, exchanged tearful smiles, and had one of the most heartfelt "first looks" down the aisle I’ve ever seen.

The ceremony was, without a doubt, the highlight of the day. It was emotional, genuine, and filled with so much love. For the reception, the couple chose elegant tropical florals and beautifully curated table settings that felt personalized and timeless—not overly trendy, but meaningful and true to them. Their first dance was such a sweet moment, full of quiet connection and joyful celebration.

Throughout the day, we focused on capturing authentic, photojournalistic photography moments—lots of soft, natural light and romantic wedding candids that reflected their personalities. Jemma and Chase made our job easy by simply being themselves: joyful, loving, and fully present.

As a St. Pete photographer, this day was a dream to photograph. Everything about it—the setting, the details, the couple—came together in the most magical way. Jemma and Chase, thank you for trusting us with your memories. Your wedding was a true celebration of love, connection, and everything that makes your relationship so uniquely yours.

Wishing you both a lifetime filled with good food, spontaneous adventures, and endless laughter.

-With love, Dafne

Sheena + Ryan Step Into The Limelight | Sirata Beach Resort | St. Pete Beach, FL

Sheena & Ryan’s Beautiful Beach Wedding at Sirata Beach Resort

There are some weddings that just feel like magic from the moment you arrive—and Sheena, Aden, and Ryan’s special day was exactly that. Set at the stunning Sirata Beach Resort, their celebration was a beautiful blend of love, laughter, and the kind of joy that sticks with you long after the day is over.

The weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The sun was shining, the sky was crystal clear, and although the ocean breeze brought a touch of wind, it only added to the dreamy beach vibe. Their ceremony took place right on the sand, with the waves crashing gently in the background and the light catching just right—truly a photographer’s dream!

Sheena looked absolutely radiant, and the way Ryan looked at her? Pure love. Aden brought such a sweet presence to the day, and watching them all together was such a

beautiful reminder of what this day was really about—family, connection, and celebration.

After the heartfelt ceremony, the reception kicked off in full swing. The energy was amazing—dancing, laughter, and so many moments filled with genuine happiness. Every guest brought their own spark, and the entire evening felt like a true celebration of love and life by the sea.

It was such an honor to capture this day. Sheena, Aden, and Ryan—thank you for letting me be a part of your story. Your wedding was nothing short of unforgettable, and I’m so excited for you to relive these memories through your photos.

Abbey + Donald Step Into The Limelight | Sunken Gardens | St. Pete, FL

There is something truly magical about a garden wedding, and Abbey and Donald’s wedding at Sunken Gardens in St. Pete, Florida, was no exception. As the sun filtered through the lush canopy of tropical greenery, these two soulmates exchanged vows surrounded by vibrant flowers, cascading waterfalls, and the love of their closest family and friends. As their wedding photographer, I had the absolute joy of capturing their day through a blend of timeless portraits and heartfelt wedding candids that perfectly reflected their love story.

Abbey and Donald are not just partners in life—they are each other’s best friends. They bring out the best in one another and share a love for running, reading, watching TV, solving puzzles, and cooking together. Their journey began at a trivia game, where their shared passion for knowledge and fun instantly connected them. It was clear from the start that they were meant to be.

From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement in the air. Abbey was radiant in her wedding gown, her smile glowing even brighter than the Florida sun. Donald’s anticipation was evident as he stood beneath the towering palms, waiting for that first look at his bride. When the moment finally came, it was nothing short of breathtaking—pure, unfiltered emotion as he turned around and saw Abbey for the first time. This is what I love most about wedding photography in St. Pete, Florida—these raw, authentic moments that will be treasured forever.

The ceremony took place beneath a canopy of towering trees, their branches gently swaying in the breeze as Abbey and Donald exchanged heartfelt vows. There wasn’t a dry eye in sight as they sealed their promises with a kiss, surrounded by the beauty of one of Florida’s most enchanting garden wedding venues. As a St. Pete photographer, capturing the way the sunlight danced around them in this dreamy setting was an absolute delight.

One of the most touching details of the reception was a special piece of artwork created by Donald himself. As an artist, he crafted a beautiful picture of the two of them, which was proudly displayed for their guests to admire. It was a true reflection of their love and the creativity that binds them together.

As the celebration continued, I focused on capturing the joy, laughter, and sweet in-between moments that make a wedding day unforgettable. The newlyweds twirled under the string lights during their first dance, the golden hour casting the most romantic glow around them. Their guests filled the night with laughter, heartfelt toasts, and a dance floor that stayed lively until the very last song. Every moment was a perfect testament to their love, and I was honored to document it all through my lens.

Abbey and Donald’s wedding at Sunken Gardens was a beautiful reminder of why I love photojournalistic photography—it's about preserving genuine emotions and fleeting moments in a way that tells a complete story. Their love, laughter, and undeniable connection made this day unforgettable, and I am so grateful to have been a part of it.

Kate + Dan Step Into The Limelight | Sunken Gardens | St. Pete, FL

Some love stories start with a meet-cute, others with a grand romantic gesture. Kate and Dan's? Well, it began with a Florence and the Machine concert and the wrong Catherine. (No hard feelings though she's lovely, and they're still friends!) Fate, however, had other plans, and a few years later while working at a bar, Dan finally found himself dating the right Katherine.

Dan had it all planned out: a perfect day featuring an antique book fair, cake, and the grand finale—a stunning engagement ring. What he didn’t plan for was Kate short-circuiting the moment entirely. With the instincts of a detective (or an overenthusiastic gift opener), she guessed what was in the box, grabbed it, and opened it before Dan could get a single word out!

When asked what he loves about Kate, Dan simply responded, "None of your business!" And honestly, if that's not true love, what is? Kate, on the other hand, adores his sharp wit and sense of humor. Their dynamic is the kind that keeps everyone guessing and laughing in equal measure.

While Dan enjoys fencing (the "stabby kind," as Kate puts it) and photography, Kate prefers books, animals, and, well, unearthing history sometimes quite literally. Their adventures once led them to Mississippi, where they exhumed 4,000 corpses from an insane asylum. (Whose idea was that again?)

Kate and Dan tied the knot on 3.14.25, a subtle, yet nerdy nod to Pi Day. Their wedding was a perfect blend of Art Nouveau, Hollywood Glam, and 1930s Florida (but, as Kate emphasizes, "not the Dust Bowl"). A touch of whimsy tied it all together, making for an unforgettable celebration. And let’s not forget Dan’s impeccable sense of style, which on this special day included stunning pink flamingo hats that added an extra layer of charm to the festivities.

For Kate, the highlights of the day included quality time with family from across the country, stunning historical surroundings, and, of course, pie. Lots of pie. Oh, and marrying Dan. That part was pretty great too. But what truly made the wedding special was that every single detail of the decor was crafted by Kate herself. From the delicate florals to the charming table settings, every corner of the venue had her magical touch.

As if the day wasn’t already full of surprises, in the middle of the celebration, giant Bigfoot made a dramatic entrance, giving the guests a moment of sheer terror before laughter took over. Just another ordinary moment in the extraordinary love story of Kate and Dan!

And speaking of extraordinary, let’s take a moment to appreciate Kate on her wedding day—absolutely breathtaking, radiant, and undeniably stunning. A bride who could have stopped time with her beauty alone.

As a photographer, this wedding was an absolute delight to capture. Every moment, every laugh, every flamingo hat, and yes, even the unexpected Bigfoot, made this a day to remember. It was an honor to document such a unique and love-filled day, and I wish Kate and Dan a lifetime of blessings, joy, and endless laughter!
