Nick & Amy’s North Straub Park Engagement Session | Downtown St. Pete

Nestled between the serene waterfront and the heart of downtown, the park’s iconic banyan trees and soft twinkle lights created the perfect romantic backdrop for an evening filled with love and laughter.

Love in the Florida Heat: Isabella & Jorge’s Twilight Engagement at The University of Tampa 🌇

When it’s hot, humid, and Florida’s summer is in full swing, there’s one thing we know for sure—twilight is the magic hour. ✨

We recently had the absolute pleasure of photographing Isabella & Jorge’s Tampa engagement session at one of the most iconic spots in the city—The University of Tampa. As the sun dipped low behind the Moorish minarets and cast a golden glow over the Hillsborough River, these two lovebirds lit up every frame.

Yes, we were drenched in sweat (🥵), but also in joy, because moments like these—real, raw, beautiful—are exactly why we do what we do. 💛

A Session Full of Romance and Realness

Isabella and Jorge are the real deal. Sweet, grounded, and madly in love. They laughed through the heat, held each other close, and made even the steamiest Florida evening feel like a breeze. The University of Tampa was the perfect backdrop—lush gardens, striking architecture, and the quiet charm of downtown just steps away.

This twilight session gave us soft, glowing light, a cooler breeze, and the romantic ambiance that only Florida summer nights can deliver. As one of the University of Tampa preferred vendors, we know all the best angles and secret spots to make your engagement photos look dreamy—even when the weather is anything but.

A Dreamy Engagement Session in the Park

Engagement sessions in the park have a special kind of magic. The fresh air, natural beauty, and peaceful surroundings create the perfect atmosphere for capturing love in its most genuine form. This session was no exception  filled with laughter, quiet moments, and a whole lot of heart.

The afternoon light was soft and golden, filtering through the trees and adding a warm glow to every frame. Birds chirped in the distance, the breeze moved gently through the leaves, and everything about the setting felt calm and romantic exactly what an engagement shoot should be.

We wandered through open fields, tree-lined paths, and quiet spots near the water, letting the natural landscape frame the story. Whether sitting on a blanket in the grass or walking hand in hand down a winding trail, every moment felt effortless and true to their connection.

What stood out the most was the joy between them the way they looked at each other, the way they laughed, and the ease of simply being together. These are the kinds of moments that make engagement sessions so meaningful real, unscripted, and full of emotion.

If you're planning an engagement session, don't underestimate the charm of a local park. Sometimes, the simplest locations provide the most meaningful images filled with connection, beauty, and the kind of magic that only nature can offer.

Nicole & Louis at Fort De Soto | A Coastal Engagement Session

At Limelight, we always enjoy getting to know our couples before the big day, and Nicole and Louis made it easy. We met up for the first time this week at Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg, an incredible backdrop that blends Florida’s natural beauty with deep historical roots. Built during the Spanish-American War, Fort De Soto once stood guard during the Civil War and World War II. These days, it’s a quieter place, perfect for exploring, walking along the shoreline, and in our case, capturing some genuine moments between two people who clearly feel at home with each other.

Nicole and Louis met back in college through mutual friends, and their connection is easy to spot. They’re laid-back, love movies, and are always up for checking out a new brewery together. Louis proposed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and now they're gearing up for their October wedding in St. Augustine.

They’ll be tying the knot on October 19, 2025, at The Treasury on the Plaza, one of St. Augustine’s most iconic venues. Originally built as a bank in 1927, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined into an elegant venue that still holds onto its classic charm. From soaring ceilings and art-deco touches to the unique bank vault-turned-cocktail-bar, it’s the perfect mix of history, glamour, and modern style—an ideal setting for what’s sure to be an unforgettable celebration.

We’re looking forward to being part of their wedding day this fall and capturing the next chapter of their story!
