Beach Views, Historic Forts, and Sweet Moments | Carly + Kevin

Carly and Kevin’s engagement session took place at Fort De Soto, just south of St. Petersburg. It’s one of my favorite locations for beach sessions because of how much variety it offers in a relatively small area. Between the historic fort, waterfront views, pathways, pier, and beach, every part of the park brings something different to the photos.

We started along one of the pathways leading toward the beach before heading up onto the fort itself for a few photos overlooking the water. From there, we made our way to the other side of the park where the scenery shifts again, with a pier, rocky shoreline, and open Gulf views.

Carly and Kevin moved to Dunedin last October and are getting married a year later this October at Shephard’s Beach Resort in Clearwater.

Fort De Soto was the perfect place for this session. It gave us a mix of backdrops that kept things feeling fresh and fun throughout the evening, and matched their energy really well as we moved through each area.

After spending the evening with them, I’m really looking forward to seeing them again and photographing their wedding day this October. It was an easygoing session from start to finish, and they made it simple to just enjoy the time and capture them as they are together.

Sailing Into Forever

There’s something about being out on the water that just flips a switch—and for Anyssa and Edward, it meant pure, unfiltered joy from start to finish.

From the second the Dulcinea set sail, these two were in their element. No overthinking, no awkward pauses—just constant laughter, easy smiles, and the kind of chemistry you can’t fake. Every time Edward looked at Anyssa, you could see it… and every time she laughed (which was a lot), it pulled him right in with her. It felt less like a session and more like tagging along on one of their best days together.

They have this natural rhythm—playful, light, and completely comfortable. One minute they were joking around, the next they were tucked into each other like the rest of the world didn’t exist. Those in-between moments? That’s where the magic lives, and they gave us so many of them without even trying.

The whole session had this breezy, carefree energy that made everything feel effortless. No stiff poses, no forced direction—just real connection and a couple who genuinely enjoy being around each other. That’s always the goal, and Anyssa and Edward made it easy.

Sessions like this are exactly why we do what we do. When you let go, have fun, and just be present with your person, the photos take care of themselves.

There’s something extra special about sessions that come full circle—and Stephanie and Min’s engagement shoot was exactly that. After winning a complimentary session through a giveaway with Wedding Society, the excitement was already there—but what unfolded at Sand Key Park went far beyond expectations.

From the moment we arrived, everything aligned perfectly. The soft coastal breeze, the warm glow of golden hour, and the natural beauty of the rocky shoreline created a setting that felt almost cinematic. Sand Key Park truly showed off, offering a dreamy backdrop that elevated every moment we captured.

Stephanie and Min brought an effortless energy to the session. Their connection was genuine, playful, and full of warmth. Whether they were laughing together by the water’s edge or strolling hand in hand across the sand, their love felt natural and unfiltered. There’s something timeless about a Florida sunset, especially when it frames a couple as joyful and genuine as Amber and John. Their engagement session at Pass-A-Grille Beach in St. Petersburg was everything we love about photographing love stories — golden light, heartfelt laughter, and a touch of coastal magic.

Amber and John arrived ready to celebrate this exciting season in their lives, joined by their sweet dog, Stormy, and the groom’s parents. It was truly a family affair, filled with love, warmth, and a few spontaneous moments that made the session feel effortlessly them. Stormy stole the show more than once, bounding along the shore and posing perfectly between her humans as the sun dipped lower over the gulf.

Pass-A-Grille Beach is one of our favorite engagement photo locations in St. Pete — soft sands, sea-breeze romance, and those breathtaking views that make every shot feel like a painting. Watching Amber and John share a quiet moment by the water, you could just feel how excited they are for all that lies ahead — especially their 2027 wedding at the Florida Aquarium! We can already imagine how incredible that celebration will be surrounded by shimmering ocean life and the people who love them most.

Madison + Nick Step Into The Limelight | Private Residence + Downtown Dunedin, FL

Sometimes the most memorable sessions are the ones you never see coming. Madison and Nick’s engagement shoot quite literally fell into my lap just 24 hours before it happened—and what an incredible evening it turned out to be!

Despite some emergencies that occurred with a fellow associate, which caused me to take over, everything came together perfectly for a sunset session in beautiful Dunedin, Florida. From the moment I met Madison and Nick, their energy was contagious. They are the kind of couple who instantly make you feel like you’ve known them for years. Lighthearted, genuinely funny, and completely comfortable just being themselves together.

We started the evening in downtown Dunedin, at the heart lock where their story took such a meaningful turn. This spot isn’t just scenic—it’s incredibly personal to them because it’s where Nick proposed to Madison. Photographing them in the exact place their engagement happened made the session feel extra special.

From there, we headed to our second location: a family friend’s private waterfront home tucked away along the Dunedin shoreline. The timing could not have been better. The sun was slowly dipping toward the horizon, casting the most magical light across the water. With the breeze coming off the bay and the sky turning soft shades of gold and pink, Madison and Nick soaked in the moment together while I captured it all. With an outfit change and all, everything was coming together so perfectly as the sun began to say goodbye.

The waterfront setting gave us such a peaceful contrast to the charm of downtown—wide open water views, glowing light, and a quiet space where the two of them could just be themselves. And honestly, these two made my job so easy. Between their constant laughter and playful personalities, every moment felt natural and effortless.

Even though this session came together on the fly, it turned into one of those evenings that reminds me why I love what I do so much! Meeting couples like Madison and Nick—people who are so full of joy and authenticity—is always such a gift.

Regardless of the unexpected twists that brought us here, I am truly so happy I got to spend the evening with this amazing couple. Madison and Nick, thank you for trusting me to capture such a special chapter of your story. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for you both.
