From the very first moment I met Raquell and Brian, I could tell their connection was something truly special. There’s a peacefulness between them—a calm joy that radiates from every glance and every shared laugh. Documenting their wedding at The Hotel Zamora was such a beautiful experience, and I’m thrilled to share their love story here.
These two first crossed paths through work in 2018, and by March of 2019, they officially began dating. Their love grew strong over the years, rooted in laughter, respect, and a genuine appreciation for life’s simple joys—like movie nights, exploring DC’s food scene, game nights with family, and traveling together. When it came time for Brian to pop the question, he chose a quiet and heartfelt setting: a walk along the National Mall in Washington, D.C. He proposed near the war memorial, and after the tears and hugs, they were met by a surprise celebration with all their closest family and friends. It was so them—thoughtful, meaningful, and full of love.
Their wedding day vision was minimal yet elegant, with an emphasis on being present and having fun. Hotel Zamora, nestled along the beautiful waterfront of St. Pete Beach, provided the perfect mix of relaxed luxury and coastal charm. As a St Pete Photographer, it’s always a treat to shoot at this dreamy venue—with its whitewashed walls, rooftop views, and intimate ambiance, it really sets the stage for something magical.
One of my favorite parts of the day was capturing their wedding candids—those real, unfiltered moments that show how deeply these two feel for each other. From the anticipation while getting ready, to their heartfelt vows during the ceremony, and the full-out joy during their reception dance party, every moment was filled with authenticity and love. Their ceremony especially stood out—standing hand-in-hand in front of everyone they cherish, their words were tender and honest, and I don't think there was a dry eye in the house.
Their reception? Just as they hoped—dancing the night away with the people they love most! From the first dance to the high-energy moves on the dance floor later that night, it was clear this wedding was not just about celebration—it was about connection, joy, and legacy.
Raquell and Brian made every detail intentional, crafting a day that reflected who they are: calm, motivated, fun-loving, and deeply in love. They didn’t stress about perfection—they focused on experience. And that’s what makes a wedding truly unforgettable.
