Alexis and Christian’s wedding day at the gorgeous Hyatt Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa was the perfect reflection of who they are—romantic, joyful, and completely devoted to one another and their beautiful family. From the moment I arrived, I could feel the excitement and love in the air.

Their story began back in 2021 when a Bumble match led to a sunset walk on Treasure Island Beach. Fast forward to their engagement—Christian proposed in that very same spot, with their daughter strapped to his chest and family and friends secretly watching nearby. It was the sweetest, most genuine start to the next chapter of their love story.

Their wedding day felt like a pause in life’s beautiful chaos—a moment just for them. Surrounded by loved ones, Alexis and Christian finally said “I do,” celebrating not only their marriage but the strong foundation they’ve built together. The day was filled with heartfelt emotion, joyful laughter, and tender wedding candids that perfectly captured their story through a photojournalistic photography approach.

We began the afternoon inside the city’s first five-star hotel, The Tampa EDITION. Known for its sleek design and luxury details, it offered the perfect backdrop for Alex + Kevin’s love story.

One of our favorite stops was The Punch Room, a hidden cocktail lounge with rich wood paneling, velvet seating, and the soft glow of the fireplace. The intimate atmosphere captured their connection beautifully, setting the tone for a session filled with joy and sophistication.

Exploring Water Street Tampa 🌆

Just steps outside The EDITION, the streets of downtown Tampa gave us a completely different vibe — modern, vibrant, and full of energy. We strolled through Water Street Tampa, using the sleek architecture and golden light bouncing off the glass buildings to highlight the couple’s just-engaged glow.

To end the evening, we stopped by the fountains at the Tampa Bay History Center, where playful splashes of water and the lively energy of the area added a touch of fun to their elegant session. The combination of city charm and waterfront views gave Alex + Kevin’s gallery an incredible variety — timeless luxury paired with authentic, candid moments.

As we wandered through its lively corners, Lorraine and Russell brought their own kind of magic. On September 24th, Maria and Luis met at Philippe Park in Safety Harbor for their engagement session, and the timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Nestled beneath the towering oaks and with Tampa Bay as their backdrop, the couple’s love for one another radiated through every frame.

From the very first moment I met Christy and Frank on their wedding day, I could feel the warmth and love that radiates between them. Their story began online, followed by a first dinner date in March, and blossomed into a proposal on Thanksgiving—wrapped in layers of gift boxes until the final one revealed a ring. It was personal, sweet, and surrounded by family.

Their wedding at the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa was nothing short of magical. The couple chose Clearwater Beach because it holds a special place in their hearts—it was their first trip together and quickly became their favorite place. With an intimate gathering of family and close friends, their vision of an elegant, ocean-inspired celebration came to life. The “ocean blues with hints of bling” theme perfectly reflected their style—a vacation love paradise.

Some of the most unforgettable moments included their heartfelt first looks with loved ones, Christy becoming Mrs. Johnson surrounded by those dearest to her, and Frank’s daughter officiating their ceremony and singing their favorite song, Flaws by Calum Scott. In a powerful and symbolic gesture, the couple exchanged Viking swords to represent their strength and lifelong protection of one another—a tradition that made their day truly unique.

What stood out most to me as their Clearwater Beach Photographer was capturing their joy, their laughter, and their genuine connection. From tender embraces to candid smiles, every image told the story of two best friends who found a forever love.
