As Tampa’s premier wedding and corporate event photographers, we were thrilled to capture every burst of creativity and connection at this vibrant industry gathering.

Challenging Creativity… & Capturing It!

The theme, “Are You Up for the Challenge?”, invited Tampa Bay’s top event professionals to design extraordinary tablescapes under pressure. Participants collaborated in teams, combining floral design, linens, lighting, and décor to create experiences that wowed. This high-energy, interactive event celebrated teamwork and imagination — everything that makes Tampa Bay’s event community so dynamic.

From elegant champagne tones and lush floral textures to dramatic, modern color palettes, each team showcased a unique style worthy of the coveted Golden NACE Charger. We loved photographing not only the end results but also the behind-the-scenes action: hands styling centerpieces, sparks of laughter during creative breakthroughs, and that unmistakable sense of camaraderie that fuels the event industry.

Tampa’s Best Come Together

After the design competition, the room transformed into a celebration over a delectable lunch catered by Delectables Fine Catering. Conversation and collaboration continued as peers shared insights and inspiration, connecting with others shaping the future of Tampa Bay’s wedding and event scene. The event wouldn’t have been possible without the generous support of Fiesta Solutions, our venue host, and the many sponsors who made the day shine.

National Watermelon Association Steps Into The Limelight | Innisbrook Gulf Resort + TradeWinds Island Resort | St. Pete Beach, FL

When people think of corporate events, they don’t always picture energy, color, and a whole lot of personality… but this past weekend with the National Watermelon Association at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort was exactly that and more.

As Lead Photographer for Limelight Photography, I had the honor of covering a full, long weekend of events — and from the very first cocktail hour to the crowning of a brand-new Watermelon Queen, it was nonstop fun, connection, and celebration!

The festivities kicked off with intimate cocktail hours overlooking the beautiful St. Pete Beach. These opening events are some of my favorites to photograph. The energy is relaxed, conversations are flowing, and everyone is excited to reconnect. From candid laughter between growers and industry leaders to the subtle details — watermelon-themed décor, branded signage, and signature drinks — the tone was set for a weekend that balanced professionalism with personality. Throughout the weekend, sessions and meetings brought together professionals from across the watermelon industry. My goal during this portion of coverage is always the same: document connection, leadership, and momentum. There’s something powerful about capturing moments that show collaboration in action — handshakes, engaged discussions, proud smiles during presentations. These are the images that tell the story of an organization moving forward together. The lighting inside the venue spaces at Trade Winds gave us a clean, polished look, while still allowing space for those authentic, candid interactions.

As the weekend built toward its grand evening celebration, the atmosphere shifted — and so did the energy.

The ballroom transformed into a vibrant, elegant setting for the highlight of the event: the crowning of the new Watermelon Queen. The anticipation in the room was undeniable. Finalists stood poised and radiant. Supporters cheered. Cameras flashed. And when the announcement was made, the reaction was everything — joy, pride, and a moment that will live on far beyond that stage. Capturing a crowning moment is about more than just the tiara placement. It’s about freezing the emotion — the deep breath before the name is called, the sparkle in someone’s eyes, the embrace that follows.

Those are the frames that matter most!

Elite Events & Rentals Step Into The Limelight | EE&R Warehouse | Oldsmar, FL

We had the pleasure of photographing the Elite Events & Rentals Open House at their Oldsmar, Florida warehouse, and it was such a sweet time to celebrate a beloved local vendor. It was clear that this was more than just a showcase of inventory, but an effort of passion and love for what they do!

The space was styled with elegant decor featuring rich red and gold accents that felt both bold and refined. These touches elevated the warehouse setting and perfectly demonstrated how intentional design can completely transform a space. It was a joy capturing the details, textures, and setups that future couples and event hosts can easily envision at their own celebrations.

Elite Events & Rentals is a full-service party and event rental company serving the Tampa Bay area and beyond. Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute alumni, students, and staff gathered at the Art Ovation Hotel in Sarasota, Florida, for a dynamic RPI alumni event that celebrated innovation, academic research, and the future of the Institute. Hosted in one of Sarasota’s most distinctive boutique hotels, the event provided an inspiring setting for connection, conversation, and community.

The RPI alumni gathering brought together graduates, current students, and faculty to discuss new research findings, emerging technologies, and the exciting future of Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Attendees shared their professional experiences, academic passions, and forward-thinking ideas, reinforcing the Institute’s reputation for excellence in science, engineering, and technology education.

From a photography perspective, the event was rich with candid moments and meaningful interactions. Guests were photographed engaging in thoughtful discussions, networking with fellow alumni, and celebrating their shared connection to RPI. The Art Ovation Hotel’s modern design, creative interiors, and warm lighting created a visually striking backdrop, enhancing the event photography and capturing the energy of the evening.

Throughout the Sarasota alumni event, students, staff, and alumni came together to exchange ideas, build lasting connections, and reflect on the impact of a Rensselaer education. The images captured during the event highlight not only the conversations and collaborations taking place, but also the sense of pride and enthusiasm that defines the RPI community.

Studio 131 Steps Into The Limelight | Studio 131 | Largo, FL

Modern Romance in Burgundy & Olive at Studio 131

Studio 131 in Largo, Florida set the stage for a modern, romantic styled shoot that blended sculptural florals, candlelit tablescapes, and sleek fashion. The palette leaned into deep burgundy, olive and moss greens, warm taupe, and creamy ivory, creating an editorial look that still felt welcoming and timeless.

The Look & Feel

JoBelle Design transformed the Ballroom, Courtyard, Lounge, and waterfront spaces with burgundy anthurium, white calla lilies, trailing amaranthus, and lush greens. Olive velvet linens, clear glass, and tall tapers cast a soft glow, while a minimalist strapless gown and tailored suiting added clean, architectural lines. Every vignette—from an intimate sweetheart table to the oak-tree ceremony setting—was styled to be both photogenic and functional for a real wedding flow.

How It Was Captured

Adrian from Limelight Photography documented the design with an eye for texture, light, and movement, highlighting the contrast between soft candlelight and bold florals. Christina of Heart & Root led her studio’s coverage and added a nostalgic spin with a vintage Super-8–style film camera (yes, the one that goes whir-whir-click). Those film snippets brought a dreamy, tactile layer to the story—proof that modern design and old-school romance play beautifully together.

Why It Inspired Couples

The design proved that couples can be bold and timeless at once: rich, moody florals grounded by natural greens; minimalist fashion balanced by romantic, candlelit atmosphere. It’s a look that translated seamlessly from indoor ballroom to outdoor ceremony, and it photographed like a dream at golden hour.
