Hidden in Plain Sight: The Secret Setup

To keep the proposal completely unsuspected, our team designed a discreet beachside plan:

• Aysia, our content creator, blended in as a guest, relaxing on a nearby lounger.

• Rebecca, Lead Photographer, positioned herself quietly off to the side, partially hidden behind a palm tree

To Tiffany, it felt like a peaceful evening at the beach, but to us, it was a perfectly timed love story in motion.

The Yes That Lit Up the Beach

When Vince dropped to one knee, Tiffany froze for half a second and then exploded with happiness. She jumped up and down, squealed like a school girl, laughed, gasped, and threw her hands in the air.

It was spontaneous, unfiltered, and completely real (which is our favorite).

And because our team was already in position, every second of that beautiful reaction was captured exactly as it happened.

A Celebration Inside the Resort

After the proposal, the newly engaged couple headed inside the JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort & Spa to continue the celebration.

There, they toasted with a drink at the bar, clinking glasses, glowing smiles, and that unmistakable “just engaged” energy filling the room. It was the perfect transition from intimate beach moment to elegant resort celebration.

A Double Blessing: Baby on the Way 🤍

As if the engagement wasn’t exciting enough… Tiffany is pregnant!!! This proposal didn’t just mark the beginning of a marriage, but the beginning of a family. Two new chapters began on the same day.

There’s something undeniably magical about a beachside proposal, and Vince’s surprise engagement to Katie on the evening of Thursday, June 19th, was no exception. Set against the warm, golden glow of the Florida sunset, this special moment unfolded on the serene shores of Indian Rocks Beach — and it was nothing short of unforgettable.

As Katie walked along the beach, hand in hand with Vince, she had no idea what was about to happen. The gentle sound of the waves, the soft sand beneath their feet, and the pastel sky above all came together to create a picture-perfect setting. 

Katie’s reaction said it all — surprise, joy, and pure love. The look in her eyes as she realized what was happening was priceless.Of course, she said yes.

The connection between Vince and Katie is undeniable. Throughout the session, they couldn’t stop smiling at each other, radiating happiness and love with every glance and gesture. It was a true honor to capture the start of this new chapter in their love story.

A Bollywood-Worthy Surprise Proposal: Sandip & Gurleen in St. Lucia

When Sandip reached out to me about capturing his surprise proposal to Gurleen in St. Lucia, I knew it was going to be an extraordinary moment. Flying me all the way from New York City to this tropical paradise spoke volumes about his commitment to making this day unforgettable. Sandip had orchestrated an elaborate plan that was nothing short of magical, proving that love truly knows no bounds.

The Setting: St. Lucia’s Enchantment

Gurleen had visited St. Lucia once before and had fallen in love with the island's breathtaking beauty. She had even mentioned to Sandip how much she wanted to return and relive their private beachfront dinner experience. Little did she know, Sandip had planned something far beyond her wildest dreams at the newly opened Secrets St. Lucia Resort & Spa, which began welcoming guests on June 1st.

As the sun set over the Caribbean Sea, the stage was set—a long red carpet strewn with rose petals, lined with glowing candles and lanterns, leading to a heart drawn in the sand. At the end of this aisle was an opulent setup with flowing drapes, fresh flowers, and Indian music softly playing in the background. The scene looked like it was straight out of a Bollywood movie—a fitting tribute to the couple’s heritage and love story.

The Moment: Surprise, Laughter, and Tears

Hidden behind a speaker, I anxiously awaited Sandip’s cue. He texted me, “We’re walking from the lobby holding hands.” As they strolled down, Sandip began pouring his heart out, telling Gurleen how much she meant to him. However, Gurleen, in her innocent charm, thought they were about to crash someone else’s proposal! “Sandip, pay attention, you’re about to walk into somebody else’s setup,” she insisted, tugging his hand to steer him away.

When they finally stepped onto the red carpet, realization began to dawn on Gurleen’s face. As they reached the beautifully decorated setup, Sandip dropped to one knee and proposed. Overwhelmed with emotion, Gurleen burst into tears of joy, her surprise quickly transforming into pure happiness.

With the golden hues of the Caribbean sunset reflecting off the water, the moment felt like a dream—a perfect blend of romance, tradition, and the unmatched beauty of St. Lucia.

She Said YES! Gabe’s Surprise Proposal to Veronica at Sugar Beach 💍

When the Pitons rise behind you and Sugar Beach shimmers beneath a soft sprinkle of rain, you know you’ve found a slice of paradise. And for Veronica, this lush corner of Saint Lucia became the backdrop for the most unforgettable surprise of her life — Gabe’s magical proposal.

As a Saint Lucia wedding photographer, I’ve had the honor of capturing some truly beautiful moments, but this one? Pure, cinematic joy.

The Perfect Proposal Plan 🎯

Gabe orchestrated the perfect mix of sweet, sneaky, and sentimental. Veronica thought they were heading to dinner at the Treehouse Restaurant, with a quick stop at Sugar Beach — where they’d been the day before for her birthday. Gabe told her their hotel, Ladera, arranged a shared taxi… but the “extra guest” in the back seat? That was me, secretly hired to photograph it all. 📸

And the driver? My friend, also in on the plan.

We were texting in the car, plotting when and where to set the scene. Veronica later laughed and said she noticed both of us typing at the same time, but didn’t think much of it. “I should’ve known something was up!” she joked.

The Big Moment 💍

Once at the beach, I gave my casual goodbye and walked to the bar. Gabe and Veronica headed toward the shoreline. I ducked behind a cabana, camera ready.

She thought we were just filming a TikTok — and while she was watching the video playback, Gabe walked around to her other side, and got down on one knee. Her reaction?

“WAIT. What?! You’re really proposing? Like, for REAL?? OMGOSH!!!”

And then — as she spotted me:

“WAIT — YOU were in the CAR with us?! YOU’RE the photographer?!?” 😂

The surprise. The joy. The love. Everything about it was perfect.

A Rainy, Romantic Session in Paradise 🌧️

The rain lightly sprinkled down, but nothing could dim their glow. We spent time capturing photos on the beach with the majestic Pitons in the background — laughing, sipping her favorite pink drink and his Jack & Coke, soaking up the beauty of Saint Lucia and this once-in-a-lifetime moment.

Dinner at the Treehouse after? Absolute perfection.

A Magical Surprise Proposal at The Don CeSar

I think I was more excited than anyone else that day. I had been dreaming of this moment ever since the plan started to take shape, everything felt magical. While Andrew and Taylor were enjoying their anniversary trip, I was secretly exchanging messages with Andrew and his mom, going over every little detail of the surprise proposal. It was such an emotional experience that I had to hold back my tears just to stay focused behind the lens and do justice to this beautiful moment.

The location? None other than The Don CeSar, the iconic pink palace on St. Pete Beach, Florida, one of the most romantic places for a proposal or wedding photography session.

I remember hiding behind the hotel's lush florals (yes, literally hiding behind the flowers LOL), trying not to shake from excitement. Then, I saw them. Andrew and Taylor slowly descended the grand staircase, and I held my breath. The anticipation in Andrew’s eyes, the joy in Taylor’s smile, it all built up to that one unforgettable second when he got down on one knee.

Taylor’s reaction was absolutely priceless. That mix of surprise, happiness, and pure love was something I’ll never forget. Even with a cloudy sky and light rain, the moment felt golden. For us photographers, overcast skies actually bring out the most flattering light—and Taylor’s radiant smile was bright enough to light up the entire hotel. Honestly, I was grinning behind the camera the whole time, feeling like I was witnessing the beginning of a fairytale.

Andrew and Taylor live in North Carolina and had come to The Don CeSar to celebrate their four-year anniversary. Little did Taylor know she’d be leaving as a fiancée! Andrew had been planning this for weeks, and you could just feel his relief and joy once he finally asked the big question. Taylor was glowing, already beautiful and now engaged, the love between them was undeniable.

This was the first surprise proposal I’ve ever photographed, and I can say without a doubt it was one of the most emotional and rewarding experiences of my career. Being part of this milestone was not only an honor, but a reminder of why I love what I do. Capturing love stories, especially those as heartfelt as this, is what makes being a wedding photographer so meaningful.
