Ana + Andrew Step Into The Limelight | Safety Harbor Resort and Spa | Safety Harbor, FL

A Classic Celebration at Safety Harbor Spa Resort

Set against the serene backdrop of Tampa Bay, Ana and Andrew’s wedding at the historic Safety Harbor Spa Resort was the perfect blend of elegance, heart, and timeless style. With its waterfront views, lush courtyards, and old Florida charm, the venue set the tone for a day that felt both intimate and effortlessly beautiful.

Before the ceremony, Ana and Andrew shared a quiet first touch behind the resort’s courtyard. With a palm tree gently separating them, they reached for each other’s hands without seeing one another. It was a peaceful and emotional moment that offered calm and connection before stepping into their wedding day.

An overcast sky cast a soft glow over their ceremony, held outdoors overlooking the bay. The atmosphere was romantic and full of quiet anticipation. Every element of the day reflected Ana and Andrew’s vision, which was centered on keeping things classic, personal, and joyfully meaningful.

After the ceremony, we explored the resort’s courtyard for portraits. Surrounded by greenery and timeless architecture, Ana and Andrew shared a few quiet moments as newlyweds. It was one of those in-between parts of the day that often ends up being the most memorable.

The reception carried their story forward with warmth and intention. Guests were welcomed with custom signage, a signature cocktail named after their dog Riley, and personal touches that celebrated the couple’s love of travel. Instead of the traditional bouquet toss, Ana chose to dedicate her bouquet to her mother, a heartfelt gesture that resonated with everyone in the room.

The evening was also filled with unforgettable moments on the dance floor. Ana shared a touching dance with her father to Beauty and the Beast. Andrew danced with his mother to Somewhere Over the Rainbow. These moments were filled with emotion and meaning, and there was hardly a dry eye among the guests.

Andrew’s father, who stood beside him as best man, gave a heartfelt toast that blended warmth and pride. Ana’s maid of honor followed with a speech that brought laughter and sweet memories. Even the youngest guests were considered. The couple created custom activity books to keep the children engaged during the quieter moments of the evening, a thoughtful touch that spoke to their love for family.

Ana and Andrew’s wedding was more than a celebration. It was a reflection of their shared values, their passion for adventure, and the deep connection they have built together. From their Alps-top engagement in Switzerland to this unforgettable day on the bay, their journey continues with love, joy, and a future full of intention.

Brooke + Jarret Step Into The Limelight | Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort | Clearwater Beach, FL

Joy Filled Wedding of Two Best Friends

There’s something magical about witnessing two best friends say “I do.” Not just lovers, but best friends. The kind who giggle at the same dumb jokes, finish each other’s sentences, and know exactly which wine to open on a Tuesday night. That’s Brooke and Jarret.

Their story began where many great ones do, at work. They bonded over shared laughs, endless conversations, and, you guessed it, wine. From best friends to soulmates, they became the couple everyone secretly roots for. And when you see them together, you just know they’re the real deal.

So, how did he pop the question? On the beach. On their anniversary. In Cape Coral. Classic, romantic, and perfectly them. She said yes with sand between her toes, the waves crashing behind them, and probably a few happy tears (mine included, just imagining it!).

Their wedding day was a full circle moment, the same day they started dating, the same day they got engaged, and now, the day they became husband and wife. I mean… come on. That’s movie-level synchronicity.

But this wasn’t your average wedding. It was small, intimate, and overflowing with meaning. Think: elegant black and white details, soft mauve touches, beachy vibes, and guests who actually mattered, not just seat fillers. It was the kind of day that makes you forget about timelines and shot lists and just soak in the feels.

And the feels were everywhere.

From the first look (cue all the tears) to the heartfelt vows and the way he looked at her like she was the only person in the world, it was electric. Add in her son, who is so deeply loved by both of them, and you have a love story that’s not just romantic, it’s rooted, whole, and fiercely loyal.

They’re a team. A silly, wine loving, adventure chasing, family first kind of team. And watching their joy spill over into every detail, from the DIY signs to the floral arrangements they crafted with care, was a privilege I won’t forget.

The first dances? Emotional and unforgettable. The laughter during the getting-ready moments with her girls? Pure joy. Honestly, nature itself was in full support of this union.

As a photographer, I’m often swept into a whirlwind of moments. But this day? I slowed down. I felt it all. The deep love. The shared history. The hope for a beautiful future. Being part of this chapter felt like being invited into something sacred.

Brooke and Jerret, thank you for choosing us to witness this day. You made everyone feel the love, and I’m walking away with a full heart, sore cheeks from smiling, and a camera card filled with pure magic.

Here’s to best friends, beach vows, and the kind of love that makes even the ocean stop and listen.

With love,
Natalia

Denise + Roger Step Into The Limelight | St. Anastasia Catholic Church | St. Augustine, FL

Denise & Roger’s Timeless Celebration at St. Anastasia Catholic Church

As a wedding photographer with Limelight, I’m fortunate to witness many love stories, but Denise and Roger’s wedding day felt especially meaningful. Taking place at the beautiful St. Anastasia Catholic Church in St. Augustine, Florida, their ceremony was heartfelt and full of quiet elegance.

St. Anastasia is located on scenic Anastasia Island, just across the Bridge of Lions from downtown St. Augustine. The church is known for its serene setting and Spanish-style architecture, echoing the deep historic charm of the nation’s oldest city. It was a fitting choice for a couple who values tradition and grace.

Denise and Roger are the kind of couple who radiate warmth and genuine connection. They share a love for gardening, traveling, and cooking, and when asked what they love most about each other, their answer was simple and powerful: everything.

Choosing to marry in the church reflected their shared faith and a deep sense of purpose. What made their wedding truly unique was their stage in life. Both retired and joyfully in their 60s and 70s, they brought a sense of calm and perspective that made the day feel grounded and rich with meaning.

For them, the ceremony itself was the most memorable part. As they stood together in that sacred space, surrounded by family and friends, it was clear that their love story is one of enduring strength and quiet joy.

Congratulations, Denise and Roger. It was an honor to capture your beautiful day!

Tami + William Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

A Love as Unique as Mr. & Mrs. Weers’ Wedding Celebration at The Tampa Aquarium.

There are weddings that are beautiful. There are weddings that are joyful. And then… there are weddings like this one, where love, laughter, dinosaurs, and Legos come together to create absolute magic.

From the moment I met this couple, I could feel their energy, vibrant, sincere, and unapologetically authentic. Their love story started like a good rom-com (the modern kind, where the algorithm plays Cupid): they met on Facebook and were coworkers at the time, both passionate teachers. A few conversations turned into late night chats, and soon they were each other’s forever person.

Their proposal? Oh, it deserves a whole movie scene of its own. Picture this: a school parking lot, students and colleagues holding up a huge sign from below, asking one very important question. And there, with the perfect timing of a romance novelist, he drops to one knee beside her. In broad daylight. During lunch. If that doesn’t scream “teacher love story,” I don’t know what does!

Fast forward to the wedding day and wow. Let me just say, I’ve photographed many weddings, but this one? It felt like stepping into their hearts. They chose an aquarium as their venue, not just because it's stunning (which it absolutely is), but because it’s them. It was a celebration that completely tossed the “wedding rule book” overboard and said, “Let’s do this our way.”

There were no flowers, because she doesn’t like them (and honestly, who said flowers are mandatory anyway?). Instead? Seashells! There was no boring ring box, instead? A football. The card box? LEGO, of course. And the cake? Oh, the cake. Not only was it topped with dinosaurs (yes, DINOSAURS), but their four beloved pups were part of the design too. Tell me that’s not love.

But the most touching moment, and one I’ll never forget, was the first look. They chose to say their vows in that quiet, private moment, no crowd, just them. It was raw. Real. Emotional. And it reminded me of why I do what I do. To witness love that’s deep, genuine, and soul-shaking. To freeze those moments in time for people who truly see each other.

Together, they are the perfect yin to the other’s yang. They lift each other up, challenge one another to grow, and laugh a lot. From football Sundays to Hobby Lobby trips, from food tours to movie nights, their life is stitched together with the kind of joy that comes from being completely at home in someone else's presence.

As a photographer, I felt beyond honored to be part of such a day. There was so much heart, so much laughter, and such a radiant energy all around, I truly felt like I wasn’t just capturing moments, I was feeling them too. The love, the joy, the weird and wonderful details,  it was all so beautifully them, Including the sharks in the background haha.

So here’s to Mr. & Mrs. Weers, may your life together always be full of seashells, dinosaurs, and the kind of love that inspires everyone lucky enough to witness it.

With love, Natalia Fontes and Limelight.

Emily + Liam Step Into The Limelight | The Resort at Longboat Key Club | Longboat Key, FL

A Coastal Celebration at Longboat Key, FL

Emily and Liam’s love story began in college and came full circle on the beach, where Liam proposed and where they exchanged vows. Their wedding at Longboat Key Resort was the perfect reflection of who they are laid back, connected to the coast, and deeply in love.

The ceremony took place on the North Lawn with a view of teal waters and a soft ocean breeze. A violinist played as they walked down the aisle, adding a romantic and intimate feel to the moment.

The celebration continued at Spike ‘n Tees, an open air restaurant at The Resort at Longboat Key Club overlooking the golf course. Guests enjoyed cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, putting on the green, and rounds of beer pong while Emily and Liam mingled with friends and family.

Every detail was personal. A mini boat at the bar held custom koozies. Emily designed all the signage. Bottles of sand decorated the tables. Instead of a traditional guestbook, guests left notes in a message-in-a-bottle. These thoughtful touches gave the day its charm and character.

After dinner and heartfelt speeches, we headed back to the beach for golden hour portraits. The light was perfect. Emily and Liam were completely in the moment, taking in the view and the love surrounding them.

The night wrapped back at Spike ‘n Tees with more laughter, games, and memories made. It felt less like an event and more like the gathering of one big family; exactly how they wanted it.

Emily and Liam, thank you for letting us tell your story. Your day was beautiful, meaningful, and completely yours!

With love,
Jeff
