There is something truly special about a South Asian wedding day… the color, the emotion, the heritage, and the unmistakable energy that fills every corner of the room. We recently had the joy of photographing an inspired South Asian styled shoot at the Sheraton Tampa Brandon, created to celebrate the beauty and richness of a Hindu wedding ceremony and reception.
Directed by the incredibly talented Priyanka of Infinity Decors, this editorial brought together elegant design, meaningful traditions, and a vibrant modern wedding vision. From the moment we arrived, we knew this was going to be an unforgettable celebration of culture and artistry.
A Meaningful Hindu Ceremony
The mock Hindu ceremony was designed with thoughtful attention to the traditions that make these celebrations so meaningful. Every detail from the ceremony setting to the colorful décor.. created a warm, elevated atmosphere that honored the significance of a couple beginning their marriage surrounded by family, blessings, and love.
As photographers, we are always drawn to the moments that carry real feeling: a glance between partners, hands joined during a sacred ritual, the anticipation before the ceremony begins, and the joy that follows when two families come together. Even within a styled setting, the ceremony beautifully reflected the heart of a Hindu wedding: connection, celebration, and tradition.
The Sheraton Tampa Brandon provided a versatile and polished backdrop for the day, with spaces that allowed the ceremony and reception designs to feel distinct while still part of one cohesive wedding experience.
Reception Details Full of Color and Elegance
The reception design was a true visual celebration. Priyanka and the Infinity Decors team transformed the space with bold color, elegant textures, and intentional details that felt both luxurious and joyful. South Asian wedding décor has a way of making a room come alive, and this reception was no exception.
We loved capturing the interplay of vibrant florals, layered tablescapes, glowing lighting, and elevated cultural elements. These are the details that make a wedding gallery feel complete—not only the big moments, but also the thoughtful touches a couple and their families spend months planning.
From wide room shots that show the scale of the celebration to close-up images of the décor, fashion, and reception styling, every frame told part of the story. This shoot was a beautiful reminder that wedding photography is about more than documenting what a day looked like. It is about preserving what it felt like.
