Playful and Heartfelt Love Story: From Facebook to Forever

Some love stories begin with a spark, others with a Facebook message. This one began in December 2020, when a mutual friend introduced two people who had no idea just how perfectly their quirks, interests, and sense of humor would fit together.

From the very beginning, their connection felt easy. Whether bonding over board games, sharing walks through local parks and beaches, or laughing through rounds of pickleball and Top Golf, they quickly built a relationship rooted in fun, respect, and genuine affection. Their shared love for both calm moments and playful adventures made it clear  this was something special.

The proposal was as thoughtful as it was sweet. On Christmas Eve, a small box was hidden in the branches of the Christmas tree, a quiet surprise waiting to be discovered. That simple, meaningful gesture perfectly reflects the kind of love they share: thoughtful, intentional, and full of heart.

One of the things that makes their relationship so strong is how much they support and engage in each other's worlds. From building Legos to watching sports or simply spending time with their beloved animals, they’ve created a life that celebrates each other’s passions and brings joy to the everyday.

Their wedding day reflected all of that and more. Set at The Florida Aquarium the site of one of their very first dates the location couldn’t have been more personal. It brought their journey full circle, from those early days of getting to know one another to saying “I do” surrounded by roseate spoonbills and shimmering backdrops. Every detail, from the unique setting to the relaxed and joyful vibe of the day, felt like them, fun, a little unconventional, and deeply meaningful.

There’s no need for elaborate themes when the love story itself is so rich. What stood out most was the warmth between them, the shared laughter, and the unspoken understanding built over years of knowing, growing, and choosing each other quirks, humor, and all.

Raquel + Kyle Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

Raquel & Kyle…

They met back in 2016 in Tampa, Florida and have been laughing and loving ever since ♥️
When Kyle was ready to propose to Raquel, he decided to pop the question in front of the entire family at the historical sponge docks in Tarpon Springs, Florida (in front of a HUGE Christmas tree!).
Raquel LOVES Kyle’s sense of humor and kindness and Kyle LOVES Raquel’s supportive attitude towards the things he enjoys (we LOVE us some Raquel, she’s the sweetest thang!)
Both Raquel & Kyle enjoy diving, theme parks, video games and going on random adventures around town.
Raquel’s favorite color is 💜 so she made sure to incorporate her fave color throughout her wedding along with her love for Disney and the movie Tangled. Their wedding day was classy and elegant with lots of pops of color and many many beautiful moments.
We so LOVED meeting these two beautiful fish lovers and we could not have asked for a more perfect dat at The Florida Aquarium, it was drama, it was sweet, it was pre joy and we are here for it!
We wish ALL the best to this amazing couple and may ALL your dreams come true ✨

Zai + William Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

Zai & William met under of the most unique circumstances… read this:

How/when did you meet each other:: At a painting party in April of 2019 ... we met because we were dating other people and they cheated on us with each other 💔... we met up to talk about it and ended up falling in love with each other ♥️ Thanks exes! Xoxo

Zai & William enjoy Mountain biking 🚵🏻‍♀️, hiking 🧗🏻‍♀️, traveling 🛩, swimming 🏊🏻‍♂️, horse back riding 🏇🏻, making music 🎼, cooking 👩🏻‍🍳, drawing 👩🏼‍🎨, painting 🎨 and so so much more…

Their wedding day was just as unique as Zai & William, their theme… 🧜🏻‍♀️🧜🏻‍♂️🐠 🦈 🦑🐬 yes, their officiant even dressed as a mermaid and William rocked his Viking hair. Touches of our majestic underwater world were everywhere and we LOVED Zai’s mermaid style hair and makeup for her wedding day. They were also inspired by Zai’s favorite movie Corpse Bride and those figurines made it to the wedding as well 🧟‍♀️🧟‍♂️

We loved how loving and sweet Zai & William are, Zai truly made sure to love on everyone she encountered on her wedding from beginning to end, it was beautiful to see.

We wish Zai & William all that is good.

"With this hand, I will lift your sorrows. Your cup will never empty, for I will be your wine. With this candle, I will light your way in darkness. With this ring, I ask you to be mine.” -Corpse Bride.

Laurie + Mike Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa. FL

Laurie and Mike got married at one of my personal favorite locations,The Florida Aquarium. After being in lockdown and not seeing their friends and family for over a year, it finally all came together and the opportunity to have everyone be together was here and was such an excitement for this couple. Laurie was a marine biology major in collage and loves animals, so the Florida Aquarium was the perfect place to have their wedding. From getting ready, the first kiss after the I-do’s and the first dance together, Laurie and Mike had smiles from cheek to cheek and having the best time of their life together. It was apparent that these two were meant for each other and we were more than happy to be present to capture this special day with them. Congratulations Laurie and Mike!!!

Amanda + James Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

In 2014, James was finishing up his residency and Amanda was working as a nurse on the orthopedic unit at a hospital in St. Petersburg. James initiated their friendship at work by coming to where Amanda’s unit to bring her coffee and conversation. They both seemed to work off the same humor and it was effortless to make one another laugh. One day James worked up the courage to ask Amanda for her phone number. They went on several dates and James swept Amanda off her feet!

James proposed to Amanda after taking her out to a romantic dinner at Armani’s. They came home and Amanda went to pet their dog Stella when she discovered that James had placed an engagement ring around her collar. When James saw that she noticed the ring, he got down on one knee while holding Stella and asked Amanda to marry him! What made it even more memorable was that The University of Florida baseball team won the College World Series National Championship! They are huge Gators fans…so they celebrated their engagement with champagne, laughs, love, and a National Championship!

James and Amanda originally planned on getting married on Duck Key in The Florida Keys, however, Hurricane Irma damaged their wedding venue and they were forced to relocate. James and Amanda love sea life, so after touring The Florida Aquarium they knew it was where they wanted to say their wedding vows.

Congratulations Amanda + James we are very excited for this new chapter in your lives together as husband and wife!
