From the moment I arrived at Longboat Key Club, I could feel the joy and anticipation radiating through every detail of Caitlyn and Michael’s wedding day. Their love story began in June of 2021, at a friend’s wedding—proof that sometimes the best beginnings happen when you least expect it. Fast forward to a magical proposal in Kilkea, Ireland, at a real-life castle, surrounded by both families—Michael's heartfelt plan set the tone for a truly romantic journey.

Caitlyn and Michael share a love rooted in emotional connection and unwavering support. Caitlyn describes Michael as her rock—positive in every situation and full of heart. Michael adores Caitlyn’s loyalty, compassion, and how naturally she cares for others. Together, they’ve built a life of shared adventures—from cooking and traveling to raising two beloved cats (and even learning to ski and golf together!).

Their wedding vision was clear: formal beach vibes infused with elegance, modern touches, and just the right amount of BoHo flair. Longboat Key Club in Sarasota delivered everything they dreamed of, with its lush South Lawn, serene South Beach, and the stunning Harbourside marina. The day was filled with emotional moments and wedding candids I’ll never forget. The first look was incredibly tender—Caitlyn’s eyes sparkled, and Michael’s expression said everything without a word. Their ceremony on the South Lawn was heartfelt, and the energy shifted to pure celebration during their reception. One highlight? The unforgettable dip and kiss, which they absolutely nailed with so much flair! Their speeches were full of laughter, love, and happy tears—a testament to the deep connections they share with family and friends.

Caitlyn and Michael added their personal touches through DIY menu cards, drink signs, and a custom seating chart. These details brought warmth and personality to their elegant celebration. As the sun dipped below the horizon, we snuck away for a sunset night session on the beach—just the two of them, wrapped in golden light and love. It was pure magic.

Their wedding was unique—not just because it was a destination wedding on the beach (a rarity among their friends!)—but because it was so perfectly them. Full of laughter, heartfelt moments, and elegant beauty, it left everyone feeling happy, excited, and most importantly—loved.

A Magical Surprise Proposal at The Don CeSar

I think I was more excited than anyone else that day. I had been dreaming of this moment ever since the plan started to take shape, everything felt magical. While Andrew and Taylor were enjoying their anniversary trip, I was secretly exchanging messages with Andrew and his mom, going over every little detail of the surprise proposal. It was such an emotional experience that I had to hold back my tears just to stay focused behind the lens and do justice to this beautiful moment.

The location? None other than The Don CeSar, the iconic pink palace on St. Pete Beach, Florida, one of the most romantic places for a proposal or wedding photography session.

I remember hiding behind the hotel's lush florals (yes, literally hiding behind the flowers LOL), trying not to shake from excitement. Then, I saw them. Andrew and Taylor slowly descended the grand staircase, and I held my breath. The anticipation in Andrew’s eyes, the joy in Taylor’s smile, it all built up to that one unforgettable second when he got down on one knee.

Taylor’s reaction was absolutely priceless. That mix of surprise, happiness, and pure love was something I’ll never forget. Even with a cloudy sky and light rain, the moment felt golden. For us photographers, overcast skies actually bring out the most flattering light—and Taylor’s radiant smile was bright enough to light up the entire hotel. Honestly, I was grinning behind the camera the whole time, feeling like I was witnessing the beginning of a fairytale.

Andrew and Taylor live in North Carolina and had come to The Don CeSar to celebrate their four-year anniversary. Little did Taylor know she’d be leaving as a fiancée! Andrew had been planning this for weeks, and you could just feel his relief and joy once he finally asked the big question. Taylor was glowing, already beautiful and now engaged, the love between them was undeniable.

This was the first surprise proposal I’ve ever photographed, and I can say without a doubt it was one of the most emotional and rewarding experiences of my career. Being part of this milestone was not only an honor, but a reminder of why I love what I do. Capturing love stories, especially those as heartfelt as this, is what makes being a wedding photographer so meaningful.

From the very first moment of Carly and Kacper’s wedding day, I knew this celebration would be something truly special. The setting — the stunning JW Marriott Clearwater Beach Resort — offered the perfect blend of coastal elegance and laid-back charm. But what made the day unforgettable was the energy: relaxed, joy-filled, and so authentically “them.” With sunshine overhead, toes in the sand, and their favorite people by their side, Carly and Kacper’s wedding was a beautiful reflection of their love story — full of fun, heart, and a few epic surprises.

Carly and Kacper first met in the most charming way — at a dog park! Their connection grew through shared adventures, beach days, boating, surfing, fishing, and even dancing (not always gracefully) in the kitchen. Their love is lighthearted, genuine, and full of laughter — and when Kacper proposed on a sunset cruise aboard their boat in the Florida Keys, it sealed the deal for a lifetime of sunshine and sea breezes.

So, of course, a beachy boho wedding was the perfect fit. The ceremony took place on the sand, with the sound of waves rolling gently in the background. And in true Carly fashion, she wowed her guests with a surprise boat entrance, arriving with her father Ernie — a moment so unique and so “her,” it had everyone smiling (and me snapping away in awe).

From meaningful DIY touches like handwritten place cards to a packed dance floor buzzing with energy, every detail of Carly and Kacper’s day reflected their playful, laid-back spirit. They wanted their guests to feel happy, stress-free, and completely in the moment — and they absolutely succeeded.
