Though they officially said “I do” in October during an intimate lakeside ceremony, this was the first time they saw each other in full wedding attire—making the day even more magical. 💖

Their celebration began with a heartfelt first look, followed by a champagne toast with Lisa’s parents, and a beautiful portrait session around the estate’s most iconic spots. The banyan trees, grand staircase, and intricate wrought iron fence provided the perfect backdrop for capturing their love. As if on cue, the evening ended with a stunning Sarasota sunset that painted the sky in golden hues. 🌅✨

Their journey began on Valentine’s Day 2020, when fate brought them together at a local pub in Pittsford, NY. Years later, on January 6, 2024, Jeff turned his birthday into an unforgettable moment, proposing at home in the most heartfelt way. It was a classic high school meet-cute. Kervin first noticed Shannon in the cafeteria (classic!) while she remembers bringing him his favorite candy at his locker. A simple gesture that sparked something much more. From that moment, they became inseparable.

Their love story is even more special because they’ve been each other's first and only love. It’s that rare, deep connection that only grows stronger with time.

Fast forward to the day Kervin decided to make their forever official. Picture this: a sunset yacht cruise in St. Petersburg, with the sun painting the sky in hues of gold and pink. As the waves gently rocked the boat, Shannon had no idea that the biggest moment of her life was about to unfold. Little did she know, her family was secretly hiding in the cabin, waiting for the perfect moment.

When the time came, Kervin dropped to one knee and asked her to marry him. As she said “yes,” her family popped out from hiding, ready to celebrate the beginning of their new chapter together.

A Chilly Engagement Session in Gainesville: Donna & Casey's Love Story

It was a crisp, chilly day in Gainesville—far cooler than what you'd typically expect in Florida, especially for a spring afternoon. A rainstorm had rolled in earlier, ushering in a cold front across the state, but that didn’t stop Donna and Casey from bringing their warm smiles and undeniable chemistry to their engagement session.

Jeff, the photographer, met them a few blocks from downtown, where a vibrant mural reading "Gainesville" made the perfect backdrop. The couple had once called this city home before relocating near Tampa, and they were excited to return to the places that had shaped their relationship. Gainesville had witnessed the early days of their love story, and they were eager to revisit the spots that held so many memories.

Their journey through downtown started at Muñecas Taco Garden, a favorite restaurant where they’d spent many hours together. Sadly, the restaurant had since closed, but the memories of shared tacos and laughter were still vivid. From there, they stopped by Hear Again Records, a local record store, and then headed to Loosey’s, the very place where they had their first date.

As they walked through the downtown streets, Jeff couldn’t help but feel like a witness to their time travel. Each step seemed to take them back to simpler days when they lived in Gainesville, reminding them of the places, the people, and the moments that had shaped their relationship.

The chilly air only seemed to add to the magic of the session. Donna and Casey were so wrapped up in each other, lost in the nostalgia of the moment, that the weather didn’t matter. It was one of those beautiful days where love and history intertwined.

Jeff is beyond excited to capture more of their love story on their wedding day, which will take place in April at the stunning Higgins Hall. It’s clear that this couple’s journey is only just beginning, and Jeff can’t wait to be there for the next chapter.
