Celeste + Khang Step Into The Limelight | The Barn at Crescent Lake | Odessa, FL

What do McGriddles and wedding bells have in common? Well, meet Celeste and Khang. After meeting for the first time at a Starbucks with mutual friends, Celeste and Khang started talking. One night, he jokingly asked Celeste for an order of McGriddles as a joke. A couple weeks went by and they went on their first date at Cooper’s Hawk.

Since then, Celeste and Khang have enjoyed many trips to Disney, trying new breweries, finding new foodie spots and exploring the Tampa/Orlando area.

“I love how Khang is very supportive partner. He also knows how to make me laugh when I am stressed out or having a bad day.” -Celeste

“ I love how Celeste is kind and caring.” - Khang

April 27th, Celeste and Khang took a trip to the happiest place on earth, Disney. The entire day, Celeste was waiting for Khang to propose. The next day, Khang and Celeste went to get ice cream. To Celeste’s surprise, she saw all of her friends on the riverwalk where Khan got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.

The couple said their “I Dos” at the beautiful Barn at Crescent Lake and years later, Celeste finally gave Khang his McGriddles. It was a beautiful day full of laughter, love, joy and of course, Disney. The wedding party showed off their basketball skills during their introductions and the groomsmen even sported Laker jerseys in honor of Khangs favorite team. We LOVED being a part of this couple’s big day!

Congrats to your happily ever after!

Erika + Wynn Step Into The Limelight | Museum of Fine Arts | St. Petersburg, FL

A story of an office romance…..

Erika and Wynn met at work in December of 2015. They sat only a couple of desks away from each other on the sales floor and started out as friends taking water breaks together. They then exchanged phone numbers after a friend's Christmas party. They became quick friends once they realized how much they had in common. They started taking lunch breaks together and then began spending time together outside of work with our mutual friends, our relationship grew from there. They have been inseparable ever since.

Erika and Wynn both knew early on that each other was “the one.” They could never get enough of each other and just had so much fun being together. They bring each other so much happiness and adventure. Even after four years they still get butterflies when they see each other.

Wynn got style ideas for the engagement ring from Erika and then created a custom designed engagement ring with his family jeweler in Milford, Ohio. He even sent it back two times to add more diamonds. Erika was stunned the first time she saw the ring and loves it, it is perfect.  Wynn proposed in Vinoy Park by the water in the same spot where they had one of their first and most memorable dates. They got a drink beforehand then walked down to the water where he popped the question. Afterwards, Wynn had Erika's mom, brother and brother's girlfriend waiting at Red Mesa Cantina to surprise her for lunch. Erika's dad was not in town but Wynn had already spoken with him prior to the proposal to ask for his blessing.

They just love to be together, it doesn't matter what they're doing, they make it fun. They love traveling and adventuring to new places, together they've been to about a dozen states with plans to go to Europe this year for their honeymoon. They also enjoy going to the gym together, spending weekends in Dunedin and St. Petersburg, spending time with family, going to see favorite bands and  spending nights at home cooking. They also love just being home, their favorite Friday nights are spent watching Netflix and making a homemade (even the dough) pizza.

They chose Downtown St. Petersburg because it is where they had some of their first dates and really got to know each other.  They love the city and it's also where they got engaged. They chose a specific pre-ceremony playlist of all of their favorite songs -they bonded in the beginning of their relationship over their mutual love of the same music. Their recessional song was an instrumental from one of their favorite bands. Erika and Wynn put together a table of photos showcasing their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos. Their ceremony was special and unique because they read their own vows to each other.

Erika + Wynn planned a ceremony that incorporated some very special traditions and a reception that was one big, fun party for all of their family and friends. Erika, Wynn and their guests certainly felt like this was "the best wedding ever!”

Lisa + Garrett Step Into The Limelight | The Vinoy® Renaissance Resort & Golf Club | St. Petersburg, FL

Classic, elegant, timeless, and a touch of vintage!

Lisa grew up locally in St Pete, but moved to New York six years ago. Lisa and Garrett met each other on June 18, 2018 in NYC at a bar on a cold rainy weekday night. Garrett thought that Lisa was out of his league, which is probably still true, but was pleasantly surprised when Lisa said yes to a second date. For their second date they spent the afternoon in Central Park, including at Tavern on the Green and the Plaza Hotel, before going to one of Lisa’s favorite Upper East Side bars.

Garrett proposed in the middle of COVID during quarantine (4/28/2020) on her birthday in the outside space (a small garden) of their NYC apartment.  Garrett and Lisa were hosting Lisa’s hometown friend and bridesmaid, a traveling nurse, at their apartment for several months while she worked in the city. Garrett took Lisa on a long walk through Union Square while Lisa’s friend decorated the garden in our backyard. After they walked into the apartment complex, red rose pedals led to the blooming cherry blossom tree outside where Garrett proposed – on Lisa’s 30th birthday.

Together they love to travel and explore cool neighborhoods in remote locations. Some of their favorites include: Boca Grande, FL; Vail, CO; and Washington, D.C. In Colorado, they love to spend time outside – in the summer hiking near the Snake River in Summit County and in the winter on the slopes with their Epic Passes. They also love exploring restaurants in the East Village in NYC.

The historic Vinoy in downtown St Pete set the stage perfectly for their classic, elegant, timeless wedding day, with touch a vintage accents. They were really excited about the venue and the opportunity to be with their friends and family in a variety of locations at the Vinoy – the tea garden, the mezzanine, and the ballroom.

The most memorable moments of the wedding day included Travis officiating, Paul’s speech, and dancing with guests. At the end of the evening everyone was tired but so happy from hard partying! Their wedding was a family- and friends-oriented affair where they celebrated both the beginning of our lives together as well as the opportunity to see many people for the first time after more than a year of COVID.

Italian Club Step Into The Limelight | Paolo Longo Award Reception | Tampa, FL

We got to photograph the Italian Club of Tampa’s Paolo Longo Award Reception, and it was honor to be part of such a great night! The honorees of the award along with their families and friends were all there to celebrate, as well as many of the members of the Club. We loved getting to hear the amazing history of the club, and the great speeches from the recipients. The award ceremony was followed by an amazing dinner catered by Olympia Catering, and DeLeon Entertainment had everyone on their feet dancing the night away! Congratulations to the recipients of the prestigious award, and congratulations to another year of great things for the Italian Club!
