Monique + Mark Step Into The Limelight | THE VINOY® RENAISSANCE ST. PETERSBURG RESORT & GOLF CLUB + SUNSET BALLROOM | ST. PETERSBURG, FL

So… we are slightly obsessed with Monique & Mark ❤︎
These two beautiful souls celebrated their love with so much class, we loved how elegant each detail of their wedding day was at the unique and historical Vinoy® Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club. Surrounded by their families and closest friends Monique & Mark tied the knot at the timeless Tea Garden during sunset.

Monique & Mark’s love shined through so beautifully, we could all feel it throughout the entire day.

On the regular, these two enjoy skydiving, gaming, rock climbing, traveling together and we loved being able to witness their excitement when they spoke about each other and their future together.

They danced the night away at the Sunset Ballroom and made sure to love on each of their guests and families. We just love the way they love and we wish Monique & Mark ALL good things in everything they do.

Congratulations to a beautiful couple ❤︎

Kaitlyn + James Step Into The Limelight | The Vinoy® Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club + Sunset Ballroom | St. Petersburg, FL

Happy, excited, love, family

Kaitlyn and James originally met in 2018 during a ruck event on St. Pete beach, but had lost contact with each other. Little did they know, they actually lived very close to each other. They finally met up again for a couple other training events that Kaitlyn had put on close to where they lived. Thankfully, for a couple of them, James was the only to show up and they actually got to know each other pretty well. Finally, on 6/23/19, they decided to actually go on a dinner date, and their first official date ended up being on 6/27.

Fast forward two years, and James invited Kaitlyn out to dinner with two of his friends. They were heading to dinner on their boat and were planning on docking at the restaurant, however James made a little detour first to a sandbar to watch the sunset. James waited for as long as he could for the sun to set, however he was also watching a storm that was coming in quickly. While Kaitlyn was watching the cool clouds and pretty sunset come in, he started getting all romantic and claimed he was the lucky one (which she still believes she is luckier), and then got down on one knee and proposed.

In James’ own words, “I love that Kaitlyn is smart, caring and compassionate. Kaitlyn is always motivating and wanting the best for other people. I love the way she looks at me and her smile. Everything about her. She makes me want to be a better person and she brings the best out of me.”

In Kaitlyn’s own words: “I love James' passion towards life. He has been through so much and still continues to put his family and friends needs first. I love his kind heart and witty personality. He is truly a gentle giant, has the sweetest smile, and I continue to wonder how I got so lucky to met a man like him. I also love how he can always find my cell phone for me. :)”

Together they enjoy running very long distances (sometimes with obstacles and carrying extra weight). They love paddle boarding, occasional horseback riding, shooting, spending time with their fur-baby Leo, and watching reruns on Netflix (or for James, playing videogames when she goes to bed). Also, maybe one day golf (although Kaitlyn is scared to see how bad she actually is lol.)

They loved having their family and friends come celebrate the fact they believe they are the two luckiest people on earth!!!

Kaitlyn and her mom did a lot of homework researching venue options. They loved the fact The Vinoy is in St. Pete, where they first met, and also loved the scenery. They love how close the water is, yet also how close to downtown their location was.

They love the tea garden and the history behind the hotel. They were excited for our horse-drawn carriage from the ceremony to the reception, and praying for a beautiful day, especially the sunset! They were also excited to surprise their family with their first dance. A year of dance lessons paid off!

Their entire day was romantic and the atmosphere of the Tea Garden at  The Vinoy creates an intimate experience, even with a large amount of people. They enjoyed an intimate, simple, elegant  wedding ceremony. The reception was an all out party and celebration!

What about your wedding makes it unique to the two of you:: The fact they get to celebrate it with so many family and friends.

The color blue has a lot of meaning to them. Along with blue, representing the "thin blue line" and James being a Manatee sheriff, blue is also represented in the Navy, which Kaitlyn's Dad and older brother served in. The other colors, Kaitlyn thought were pretty and went with the day.

Sonja + Stephen Step Into The Limelight | The Vinoy® Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club + Sunset Ballroom | St. Petersburg, FL

…Sonja & Stephen…

How/when did you meet each other:: The first time they met: Sonja and Stephen met in March of 2013 in Connecticut, their home state. They met at work when Sonja was just 18 years old and Stephen was 24 years old. They knew they were soulmates from the very beginning and their very first kiss was absolutely magical. They moved in together within only 6 months of dating and they loved waking up next to each other every morning. The years passed one by one and they grew up together in love. Their little family also grew in size when their first gorgeous white Persian blue eyed fur baby Snowden came into their life and made their lives even fuller.

The Big Move: In 2018, Sonja's dream of becoming an attorney came true when she got accepted into law school in Florida. Stephen quickly and without hesitation followed the love of his life to the sunshine state. He says it was the best decision he ever made as they began their next chapter together in paradise! When the 2020 quarantine orders began in March, they fall in love once again as they welcomed their second fur baby, Simba who brought so much spunk and joy to the family alongside his big brother Snowden. They did not mind spending time together inside together in each other's lovely company.

How did he propose:: The Proposal: With only one year left of Sonja's law school career and 7 and 1/2 years of dating later (time flies when you're having fun!), Stephen knew it was time to seal the deal so he got down on one knee with the MOST stunning ring from Gold and Diamond Source (double halo emerald cut what Sonja dreamed of) at the stunning Isla Del Sol Yacht and Country club location waterside. It was the surprise proposal of Sonja's dreams and it still feels so surreal! Stephen secretly planned the whole thing with the help of Sonja's best friend, Shana who beautifully photographed the whole proposal and even created an outstanding balloon arch that matched the couple's outfits perfectly. It was a surprise holiday proposal and the happiest way to end such a hard year that 2020 was for all of us. Sonja and Stephen really enjoyed being engaged. They loved attending bridal expositions together, planned a fun engagement party last august, and even have planned every detail of their big day TOGETHER! Sonja is blessed that Stephen thoroughly enjoys being a big part of this wedding planning process, unlike other grooms - he is special. They are looking forward to celebrating their big day with their close friends and family at the pink Renaissance Vinoy Hotel in Saint Petersburg.

What do you love about each other:: They are truly opposites who attract! Sonja is fire and Stephen is her ice. They balance and compliment each other perfectly!

Interests/hobbies you enjoy doing together:: THE BEACH! They moved in 2021 even closer to the beach and now enjoy living only 15 minutes away from white sands and crystal clear waters. They also love spending time with their fur babies, family, and friends.

Sonja & Stephen’s wedding day was a true fairytale, Sonja wore a princess ballgown and even wore a crown like the true queen she is. The entire day felt royal and elegant with so many meaningful details and beautiful Albanian traditions. We LOVED experiencing such beautiful moments together with Sonja & Stephen and their loved ones.

Sonja & Stephen… may ALL your dreams come true.

Erika + Wynn Step Into The Limelight | Museum of Fine Arts | St. Petersburg, FL

A story of an office romance…..

Erika and Wynn met at work in December of 2015. They sat only a couple of desks away from each other on the sales floor and started out as friends taking water breaks together. They then exchanged phone numbers after a friend's Christmas party. They became quick friends once they realized how much they had in common. They started taking lunch breaks together and then began spending time together outside of work with our mutual friends, our relationship grew from there. They have been inseparable ever since.

Erika and Wynn both knew early on that each other was “the one.” They could never get enough of each other and just had so much fun being together. They bring each other so much happiness and adventure. Even after four years they still get butterflies when they see each other.

Wynn got style ideas for the engagement ring from Erika and then created a custom designed engagement ring with his family jeweler in Milford, Ohio. He even sent it back two times to add more diamonds. Erika was stunned the first time she saw the ring and loves it, it is perfect.  Wynn proposed in Vinoy Park by the water in the same spot where they had one of their first and most memorable dates. They got a drink beforehand then walked down to the water where he popped the question. Afterwards, Wynn had Erika's mom, brother and brother's girlfriend waiting at Red Mesa Cantina to surprise her for lunch. Erika's dad was not in town but Wynn had already spoken with him prior to the proposal to ask for his blessing.

They just love to be together, it doesn't matter what they're doing, they make it fun. They love traveling and adventuring to new places, together they've been to about a dozen states with plans to go to Europe this year for their honeymoon. They also enjoy going to the gym together, spending weekends in Dunedin and St. Petersburg, spending time with family, going to see favorite bands and  spending nights at home cooking. They also love just being home, their favorite Friday nights are spent watching Netflix and making a homemade (even the dough) pizza.

They chose Downtown St. Petersburg because it is where they had some of their first dates and really got to know each other.  They love the city and it's also where they got engaged. They chose a specific pre-ceremony playlist of all of their favorite songs -they bonded in the beginning of their relationship over their mutual love of the same music. Their recessional song was an instrumental from one of their favorite bands. Erika and Wynn put together a table of photos showcasing their parents’ and grandparents’ wedding photos. Their ceremony was special and unique because they read their own vows to each other.

Erika + Wynn planned a ceremony that incorporated some very special traditions and a reception that was one big, fun party for all of their family and friends. Erika, Wynn and their guests certainly felt like this was "the best wedding ever!”
