First off, we LOVED meeting Kelly and Ray. The weather tried to put a damper on their engagement session but even through the rain and thunder, this couple was full of smiles!
Kelly and Ray love St. Pete so they wanted to make sure that iconic landmarks were a part of their session. We started at the Dali and then made our way over to the new St. Pete Pier for some sunset photos. WOW what a sunset we had. Brilliant orange and golds filled the sky and we even go a rainbow to end the session.

Alexa + Luis Step Into The Limelight | Wekiwa Springs State Park | Apopka, FL

Alexa & Luis met at Tampa Catholic High School but only really reconnected after attending college and have been dating for about 4 years now… well that is until Luis decided to propose on a cool fall evening back in 2020 at a Pumpkin Farm, a total and complete surprise to Alexa… Luis had the clever idea to take advantage of a fall family session to get down on one knee and propose to Alexa surrounded by family.
Alexa is one our Lead Photographers here at Limelight Photography and we are SO honored and excited for her big day! It will be such a dream true to see our very own Alexa as a bride! Alexa & Luis will be tying the knot at Powel Crosley Estate in April of 2022 and we cannot wait to witness and capture one more chapter of their love story ❤︎ Enjoy it ALL! #livinlavidalopez

Alexandra + Brett Step Into The Limelight | HYATT REGENCY CLEARWATER BEACH RESORT AND SPA | CLEARWATER, FL

Alexandra and Brett’s love story began a long time ago! They first met at a middle school dance, and then re-connected and began dating in high school.  A few years later Brett took the next step and surprised Alexandra with a new puppy Georgia, who’s collar said “Marry Me?” And she couldn’t have been more excited! When it was time to plan the wedding, they decided on the Hyatt Clearwater since that’s the first vacation they took together from New Jersey. A few days before their big day, a hurricane was headed right this way. It was no match for this day though, and the weather couldn’t have been better for their rooftop ceremony. They have been such a big part of each other’s lives for so long it was beautiful to see them officially become one! It was such a fun and intimate celebration surrounded by their close friends and family. The love the couple had for each other, and the love their families had for each other too was so special. Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Doremus!!

Amanda + Christopher Step Into The Limelight | Zota Beach Resort | Longboat Key, FL

We had the amazing opportunity to be a part of Amanda and Chris’ wedding held at the gorgeous Zota Beach Resort in Longboat Key FL. First look was our absolute favorite part of the day - the moment Chris saw his now wife for the first time of the day was simply priceless! Between laughter and a couple happy tears, you could tell just how much they both cared for each other and how much Chris comforted Amanda. A little rain would not stop this couple from getting married and we took the rain as a sign of many blessings coming down from above! During our chance to chat with Amanda, she explained to us how Chris proposed to her by placing the ring on her new sphinx kitten’s collar which was just the perfect way to ask her to marry him! The couple both love spending time with each other, going out to movies, shopping, playing video games together and going out to dinner. They are comfortable with each other and knew right from the start that they wanted to spend the rest of their life together.

Jenny + Shane Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip Cruises & Events | Tampa, FL

…We have found the one for whom our soul loves…

Jenny and Shane’s wedding day was a special, yet relaxed, celebration of their commitment to one another. They have been together five years, engaged for two of those years and really just wanted the confirmation of their commitment to be something simple in a beautiful place surrounded by the most important people in our lives. Their wedding day was stay true to the story of them - a little bit crazy, a little bit loud, and a whole lot of love.  As much as the day was beautiful and wonderful, Jenny and Shane are most looking forward to continuing their life together as husband and wife.

They met in high over school 20 years ago. They reconnected on Facebook in 2015 and started dating January 2016.  At  Thanksgiving 2018 dinner Shane proposed with all of the kids in attendance.  Jenny and Shane compliment each other, they are best friends, they call each other out on our stuff and they are supportive of each other! They are both foodies, and like trying new restaurants. They like to travel and experience new things together.  They enjoy the outdoors, kayaking, fishing, camping, hunting, hiking/walking. They just enjoy hanging out and being together. They love spending time with our kids and grandkids and mutual friends, bowling and go-cart racing, mini golf, amusement parks, etc. They say they are either really lazy together or really adventurous :) 

Their first vacation as a couple and family was to Clearwater Beach, best time ever, and it just felt fitting to go back to the place they really bonded as a family at first to say their vows. What started as a simple plan for them to marry on the beach evolved in to something quite a bit more elaborate. Getting married on the Yacht Starship really changed the story of the wedding, and inspired their color choices. Jenny’s ivory dress was flowing and elegant and she wanted something similar for my daughters. The dusty rose color is so pretty and looked stunning on them against the backdrop of the sea. Of course the blue suits for the guys were perfect to set sail sat sea, so really things just all started to fall into place after they booked their venue. They loved the idea of getting married at sea, as no one they know has ever done that!

Some of the most special moments include Jenny getting ready with her girls, and her son walking her down the aisle to give away to Shane. Celebrating with life long friends, and creating memories with the people that mean the most to her remaining in this world’s an incredible joy to capture. Holding hands as husband and wife, enjoying good food and wine, seeing his face when he first saw her ready to go, getting married at sea by a Captain, saying their vows and kissing for the first time as man and wife, watching the sunset while at sea.….all magical moments!
