Catherine + Adam Step Into The Limelight | The Floridan Palace | Tampa, FL

Catherine and Adam met at a mutual friend’s going away party and he proposed over a graduation dinner at Vizacaya. They are fun to be around because they love each other’s sense of humor. In their own words they describe the story of their wedding, “We wanted something that was local and embraced some of the historical themes of Tampa. Eons ago, before the crust of the Earth cooled, when the real decisions about what the life was going to look like were being made.…the forces that pitched a limitless scope of ideas. Some of the snarkier forces, made a joke proposal about what life ought to look like. We were that proposal. Also, the hotel is a gilded age building and we are both history dorks, so we figured we’d lean into the art deco/art nouveau theme.”

Their Gatsby-inspired, art deco attire and decor reflected a formal and slightly modern take on the jazz age. One of the coolest details was the vintage typewriter they had in lieu of a guestbook. Also, the Ring Bearer box was handmade by the groom Adam for Cat’s engagement ring when he proposed.

Some very important moments that reflect their Jewish faith, and also some classic American traditions, included the breaking of the glass, cake cutting, garter and bouquet throwing, the hora, the tarantella and signing the ketubah. It was such a beautiful day and an honor to capture all of these special moments.

Ashleigh + Jimmy Step Into The Limelight | Yacht StarShip | Clearwater, FL

What an incredible time we had with Ashleigh and Jimmy on one of the most beautiful days here in Clearwater Fl. We started the day at Sheraton Sand Key Resort were the two got ready for their big day. Ashleigh wore a lace, two piece, custom-made dress that was made specifically for the look she was dreaming of. She looked amazing and so stunning! Jimmy wore a dark navy blue suit with a black bow tie.

Once ready, we made our way to the Yacht Ship IV were the ceremony and Reception would take place. White chairs and floral detailing were placed on the upper deck where friends and family would gather to witness this lovely couple say their I-Do’s. One special moment of the ceremony was when Ashleigh’s Father walked his daughter down the isle. Due to medical reasons, Ashleigh did not know if he would be able to be there at all but a beautiful blessing was given to the family and her father gathered all his strength to walk her down.

Once vows were exchanged, an elegant and relaxed dinner took place on the first and second level of the Yacht. Dancing begun and a bubble exit marked the end of a remarkable reception. Once all goodbyes and hugs were given to their guests, we made our way to clearwater beach to enjoy the rest of the amazing sunset the day had in store for us. Congratulations to the newly weds!!!

Amy + Michael Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

How We Met

It all started on a little app you may have heard of called Tinder, where we both swiped right and were deemed a ‘match’. Amy had a few facts about herself in her profile, one of which was “division 1 college athlete”. Mike sent Amy a message which said “I’m guessing you played volleyball in college right? I knew it”. Amy told him that was not correct so he asked if he could ask a couple more questions to help narrow it down and then guess again. Those questions were:

1.     Pancakes or waffles?

2.     At the beach do you hang out in the sand or water all day?

3.     Who is your favorite super hero?

Even though Mike lost at guessing which sport Amy played, his humor was a winner. About 2 weeks later we would meet in person for the first time, at a bar near where we live called Ale House. Mike’s witty banter, Amy’s love of sports, and an effortless conversation was enough to warrant a second date. Mike chose the Kansas City Zoo for this date, which was fun and unique enough to impress Amy once again. After the zoo, we shared our first meal together at Season’s 52 (important fact for later). They are goofy, competitive, analytical, up for adventure. They enjoy travel, golf, volleyball, thrill-seeking activities, problem solving games, board games, drinking beer, lawn games, having fun! Amy is still bitter that Mike only lived in Kansas City for 2 weeks before they met (lucky guy), but nonetheless, the rest is history!

The Proposal

Back in March 2017, Mike lost a bet with Amy over the TV show The Bachelor. He owed her 2 fully planned date nights. The first date happened soon after, but with moving and a new house, the second one fell to the back burner. Randomly over Thanksgiving and again at a holiday party, the fact that he still owed her a second date night got brought up. The day after the holiday party we had holiday pictures taken, and several people had suspected he would propose during those, since we already had a camera there and ready! However, nothing happened. Amy was convinced there was no way he would propose before 2018. Two days after the pictures, Mike told Amy he was going to pay up on the date night that Wednesday. He told her they were going to go to Up-Down (a local arcade bar), dinner, and then do an athletic activity. After Up-Down, Mike told Amy they were going to Seasons 52 for dinner (cue important fact from earlier). When walking up to the restaurant, Amy tried to turn right to head toward the restaurant door and Mike continued to walk straight. We bumped into each other. Mike said “Come over here, let’s look at the Plaza lights”. At this point, Amy knew something was up. It was cold outside, we were late for our reservation (Mike hates being late), and Mike doesn’t really like Christmas lights. As we approach the fountain that’s outside of the restaurant, Mike says his knee hurts and gets down on one knee to propose. Right then, the first flash from the photographer goes off. Yep, that's right, Mike hired another photographer just 4 days after we had pictures taken. Once we get inside, Amy is surprised one more time when she sees her parents sitting at the table (she didn’t know they were in town). Oh, and there was no athletic activity after, that was just a decoy. Mike really pulled off the surprise, which is not easy to do! Amy’s engagement ring has 2 center stones, the large one is her maternal grandmothers wedding stone and the small one is his paternal grandmothers wedding stone.

Their wedding was beautiful to witness with two people that are a perfect fit for each other celebrating their love and having fun with all their family and friends while doing it. Amy has always loved water and fish, and she was a college platform diver. They saw penguins on their second date together, and picked The Florida Aquarium for the awesome, unique, fun, modern, cool background. The favorite part of their day was getting married to their perfect match while surrounded by those they love most in front of a super cool aquarium and having a great time. Oh, and the SURPRISE PENGUINS! A truly magical day that left everyone feeling like they were having fun, surrounded by love in a whimsical atmosphere underwater!

Peggy + German Step Into The Limelight | Nativity Catholic Church + The Vault | Tampa, FL

German arrived to the United States on August of 2002 from Cali, Colombia, the same year and month that Tatiana arrived to the United States from Guayaquil, Ecuador. Their story began with meeting at a house party hosted by Tatiana's best friend, at the time, Yulieth Sanchez, in Tampa, Florida. A mutual friend of Tatiana and German, Jesus Gomez, had invited German to the party. German and Tatiana talked, danced, exchanged MSN names and phone numbers. Throughout the years, they kept the friendship going through instant messenger as German lived in New Jersey with his mom and brother while Tatiana lived in Tampa with her family. Although they both made efforts of staying in touch throughout the years, neither Tatiana nor German foresaw anything more than a friendship. They would take any opportunity they could to see each other. They lost track of each other for a few years, but they reconnected back in 2015 for Cinco de Mayo, if you are from Tampa you know how we Tampanians celebrate it. It only took a month after they saw each other again after a couple of years of disconnect, for them to realize they wanted to give it a try and have something more than a friendship. German asked Tatiana to be his girlfriend on the day of his birthday June 18, 2015 and of course, Tatiana said "YES". Four months after their relationship started, they felt they were ready for more and they decided to move in together on October of 2015. After a year of sharing the same roof, German decided to pop the big question, "Will you Marry Me" and of course Tatiana said "YES" once again. German and Tatiana's civil marriage was on November 19, 2016 and they are ready for their marriage to receive the The Lord's blessing on June 9, 2018.

German & Peggy {Tatiana} enjoy going on bike rides together when time permits, family gatherings, and most of all, spending time with their dog Rocky in the comfort of their home, where they enjoy the lake view and peaceful nights by the fireplace on starry nights.

They lover each other's sense of humor, vision for their family and kids, their goals in life and how caring and affectionate they are towards each other even on their worst days.

We loved being a part of their fairytale, the time flew by and German & Peggy enjoyed every minute of their wedding day, Peggy planned every elegant detail beautifully and every moment and every second was a joyous celebration.

Congratulations to this gorgeous couple!

Lindsay + Kyle Step Into The Limelight | MARGARITAVILLE KEY WEST RESORT & MARINA | Key West, FL

Lindsay and Kyle met in 2010 briefly and were both in different relationships and lived in different states. They reconnected in 2016 through mutual friends. Lindsay got home from work October 5, 2017 and Kyle had ordered some of her favorite Sugar Factory gummy bears. They were on the counter in the tin that they came in. Lindsay opened the tin and the ring was in the tin with a note attached. She was completely surprised!

Lindsay and Kyle compliment each other so well. They are completely opposite, yet so the same. They make each other laugh. They have 4 dogs, so a lot of their attention is based around them. They love to travel and hang out with our friends. Kyle always says Lindsay is the ying to his yang.

They wanted a simple, yet romantic wedding, and they both love a beach/tropical atmosphere. They wanted to stay in the country, but love tropical weather so the Keys were a perfect location. They wanted to keep it small and intimate but every time they turned around they were inviting someone else!. It ended up perfect with around 60 guests, so still smaller and intimate and a wonderful time celebrating with their closest friends and family. The decor of Palm Leaves with accents of gold and rose gold was elegant and beachy: Dressy Beach Chic! The atmosphere was one that left everyone feeling happy and comfortable.
