Sara and Cody's Wedding at The Club at Treasure Island. This wedding was so dear to our hearts because of the family history that we have shared in. We first met this amazing family when we photographed Cody's sister Lindsay and her husband Jordan's wedding at the Don CeSar in 2011. We instantly were drawn to this beautiful family's positive energy and exuberant love for each other. It touches my heart the way they all have so much energy, passion and love. And nothing about that changed - in fact it seemed to only flourish and grow stronger - as they all pulled together to support Lindsay and Cody's mom Maryann as she kicked breast cancer to the curb last year. Maryann's brave and courageous victory against breast cancer was ruthlessly challenging yet beautiful to witness with the love and support of her family.

I was so honored to photograph Sara and Cody's wedding on so many levels and witnessing their family healed and whole and stronger than ever after battling a life-threatening disease really touched my heart and awakened my soul. I was reminded don't sweat the small stuff, appreciate loved ones and tell them every day. I was given a glimpse as to the value and power of documenting someone's most sacred and important day of their marriage on the day it begins!

Sara and Cody met in 2007 after Cody’s high school Homecoming game and have been making each other laugh ever since. They enjoy cooking, going to the gym and watching TV shows together.

Sara reminiscences “He proposed on a microphone at Grille 54. He was supposed to do it on a cruise but he changed it for my mom since she was not going to be on the cruise.”

Sara and Cody's wedding was made unique to them because they created and built their dream wedding together, and adding things that we really wanted. They had a beautiful, elegant and classy wedding at the Treasure Island Yacht Club. The color theme was an abundance of rose red with numerous white and silver accents that created a classic elegance. The inspiration for their wedding was selecting a reception location that overlooks the ocean and choosing to go bold with red for the Christmas season. Sara and Cody had a beautiful wedding full of love, smiles and laughter where their guests felt appreciated and excited to celebrate their love.
