A Florida native and photographer with 6+ years behind the camera, Makaila has always had a love for capturing the beauty in real, fleeting moments. Growing up surrounded by family photographs, she developed an appreciation for storytelling through imagery at an early age.

What started with neighborhood photoshoots and homemade music videos grew into a passion for cinema and photography, eventually leading her to study cinema production and photography at a technical high school, and later in college.

Today, Makaila loves bringing creativity, emotion, and a touch of nostalgia into her work. She has a particular love for film photography and black-and-white imagery, drawing inspiration from classic photographers, music, movies, and human connection.

She especially loves wedding photography because of its ability to freeze the moments that matter most and preserve them for generations to come.

When she’s not behind the camera, you’ll probably find Makaila traveling, at the beach, enjoying the outdoors, or learning to golf. She used to skateboard, and her favorite food is anything you can eat with one hand.
