Lauren and Cliff met when they were sophomores in High School through a mutual friend, who was trying to play match maker for the two. Lauren went to Freedom High School, and Cliff went to Beaver Falls High School, which was about a 20 minute distance from each other. Cliff was not shy about making it known that he was interested in Lauren. Lauren, on the other hand, was unavailable at the time. However, Cliff would remain persistent and he would not hide his interest when he would run into Lauren. Fast forward through college, getting “real jobs”, and entering into the real world, Lauren and Cliff’s paths crossed again. Lauren and Cliff have many mutual friends, and it would not be uncommon for them to run into each other at social gatherings. Cliff decided to take his chance, and he started messaging Lauren. When Lauren told her family about Cliff, they immediately loved him, especially Lauren’s Dad and Grandma, Marianne. She jokes with Lauren to this day that she “hand picked” Cliff for Lauren. On September 14, 2017, Lauren and Cliff had their first date at Burgatory in McCandless Crossing. The two talked and laughed for hours! They then went to the mall and Cliff helped Lauren pick out a birthday present for her mom. Burgatory still serves as a special date spot for Lauren and Cliff— It’s their go-to place to celebrate special moments in their relationship, such as celebrating each other’s personal successes, having their engagement photo shoot, and getting their townhouse.
Cliff proposed on May 29, 2021 while he and Lauren were on a trip to visit Lauren’s family in Florida. Cliff popped the question at Sarasota Bayfront Park as the two walked by the water. Cliff and Lauren’s family tricked Lauren into thinking they were waiting for dinner reservations, which actually did not exist. Lauren said YES! Lauren and Cliff celebrated with family, including Lauren’s grandmother, Marianne Luther, who was flown in from Louisiana to be able to celebrate the special moment.
Fast forward to Lauren & Cliff’s wedding day… such a gorgeous and sweet day!
Lauren looked absolutely beautiful and Cliff could not take his eyes off of her. They celebrated with family and Friends in Clearwater Beach, Florida surrounded by so much love.
We love the classy and elegant ivory with touches of light blue and greenery for Lauren’s decor, so romantic but most importantly we LOVED being a part of such a special day for Lauren & Cliff. It was such a treat to watch them love and care for each other. We wish with Lauren & Cliff a lifetime filed with lots of bliss and amazing adventures. Cheers!
