Marigrace + Usman Step Into The Limelight | Pass-A-Grille | St. Pete Beach, FL

Marigrace and Usman truly have an epic love story! Theirs will be the first non-arranged marriage in Usman’s family, ever! Marigrace is from Ohio in the good ol’ USA, and Usman is from Pakistan. Usman waited patiently for 16 years to obtain a Green Card, and then moved to New York. Marigace happened to already be living in New York working!  They met in Brooklyn through mutual friends. And on their first date they talked for five hours, had a crazy adventure getting lost in the subway and their restaurant running out of food!

Four years later they were engaged at the Don Cesar, which is where they will have their wedding in October! The beach is the theme for their wedding. They love St Pete Beach and Pass-A-Grille Beach! It means so much to Marigrace especially, having grown up coming there since she was a kid.

We met for their engagement portrait session at The Sea Horse Restaurant. The Seahorse is the oldest operating restaurant in #passagrille and officially reopened after closing its doors back in December.

The Seahorse Restaurant, established in 1938, was one of the original Drive-In restaurants in town. It has remained a significant part of Pass-A-Grille since its inception, attracting tourist and local folks alike to it’s open air feeling and casual atmosphere. The restaurant has been family-owned and operated for the last 40 years.

We began their session with the iconic Sea Horse Benches and then moved along Historic 8th Ave. We ended the session on The Point rocks where the Bay meets the Gulf and Pass-A-Grille Pier.

Jessica + Jakob Step Into The Limelight | Vinoy Park | St. Petersburg, FL

Engagement sessions in Florida in the summer are always an adventure! In Jessica and Jakob’s case, we had been trying to dodge rain for weeks. Eventually we decided to brave the storms and see if we could create some magic in beautiful downtown St. Pete.

Jessica and Jakob had a wonderful image in mind of capturing the skyline of downtown St. Pete with a wonderful sunset behind it to commemorate that they will be getting married here in May of 2022. Unfortunately the sunset did not cooperate due to storms in the area, but the clouds created a dramatic backdrop and allowed Jessica and Jakob to steal the show with her beautiful white dress and his classic button down shirt.

They also had an outfit change in the middle of the shoot, and we moved over to a botanical garden to get some color in the shoot, and it was definitely the highlight of the evening. The garden was beautiful and really accented the two of them and allowed them to get really comfortable in front of the camera.

Sometimes with couples, you can just tell when they have a different kind of love by the way they look at each other. Jessica and Jakob had love in their eyes the whole evening from start to finish. They persevered through rain, red tide, and wind and still managed to look absolutely stunning throughout. I absolutely cannot wait to be a part of their big day with (hopefully) some fantastic weather to go with it :) These two are special!

Wendy + Andrew Step Into The Limelight | Tower Club | Fort Lauderdale, FL

Wendy and Andrew met online August 2018 and he proposed in NYC before Thanksgiving. They love their daily life they have built together and their commitment to each other. Together they enjoy dining out, spending time with their bulldogs, weekends away and spending time with friends and family.

Their simple and Classic wedding is inspired where they live.:) Fort Lauderdale is a big part of their lives and they love it. The venue shares a beautiful overview of the town we love. Their favorite part of their wedding was being with all of their loved ones to share the weekend/day with their vows and a few small religious traditions. Everyone felt welcomed, comfortable and happy as they celebrated this sweet couple.

Kelly + Ray Step Into The Limelight | Downtown St. Pete | St. Petersburg, FL

First off, we LOVED meeting Kelly and Ray. The weather tried to put a damper on their engagement session but even through the rain and thunder, this couple was full of smiles!
Kelly and Ray love St. Pete so they wanted to make sure that iconic landmarks were a part of their session. We started at the Dali and then made our way over to the new St. Pete Pier for some sunset photos. WOW what a sunset we had. Brilliant orange and golds filled the sky and we even go a rainbow to end the session.
