A Dreamy Engagement Session in the Park

Engagement sessions in the park have a special kind of magic. The fresh air, natural beauty, and peaceful surroundings create the perfect atmosphere for capturing love in its most genuine form. This session was no exception  filled with laughter, quiet moments, and a whole lot of heart.

The afternoon light was soft and golden, filtering through the trees and adding a warm glow to every frame. Birds chirped in the distance, the breeze moved gently through the leaves, and everything about the setting felt calm and romantic exactly what an engagement shoot should be.

We wandered through open fields, tree-lined paths, and quiet spots near the water, letting the natural landscape frame the story. Whether sitting on a blanket in the grass or walking hand in hand down a winding trail, every moment felt effortless and true to their connection.

What stood out the most was the joy between them the way they looked at each other, the way they laughed, and the ease of simply being together. These are the kinds of moments that make engagement sessions so meaningful real, unscripted, and full of emotion.

If you're planning an engagement session, don't underestimate the charm of a local park. Sometimes, the simplest locations provide the most meaningful images filled with connection, beauty, and the kind of magic that only nature can offer.

Nicole & Louis at Fort De Soto | A Coastal Engagement Session

At Limelight, we always enjoy getting to know our couples before the big day, and Nicole and Louis made it easy. We met up for the first time this week at Fort De Soto Park in St. Petersburg, an incredible backdrop that blends Florida’s natural beauty with deep historical roots. Built during the Spanish-American War, Fort De Soto once stood guard during the Civil War and World War II. These days, it’s a quieter place, perfect for exploring, walking along the shoreline, and in our case, capturing some genuine moments between two people who clearly feel at home with each other.

Nicole and Louis met back in college through mutual friends, and their connection is easy to spot. They’re laid-back, love movies, and are always up for checking out a new brewery together. Louis proposed at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, and now they're gearing up for their October wedding in St. Augustine.

They’ll be tying the knot on October 19, 2025, at The Treasury on the Plaza, one of St. Augustine’s most iconic venues. Originally built as a bank in 1927, the space has been thoughtfully reimagined into an elegant venue that still holds onto its classic charm. From soaring ceilings and art-deco touches to the unique bank vault-turned-cocktail-bar, it’s the perfect mix of history, glamour, and modern style—an ideal setting for what’s sure to be an unforgettable celebration.

We’re looking forward to being part of their wedding day this fall and capturing the next chapter of their story!

Playful Hearts & Disney Dreams 🪄

Some love stories are filled with magic, laughter, and a spark that’s impossible to miss and theirs is exactly that. From the moment we met, it felt like hanging out with old friends who just happen to be madly in love.

We spent the afternoon surrounded by nature, sharing stories, recreating sweet memories, and laughing… a lot. One of the best moments? We ended up playing Pokémon in the middle of the park, yes, really! Between one laugh and the next, it became clear that these two don’t just love each other they have fun together. The kind of fun that makes everything feel light and joyful.

And their engagement story? Straight out of a fairytale they got engaged at Disney!! A perfect setting for a couple who sees the world with wonder and whimsy. Every moment with them is full of playfulness, affection, and that rare kind of connection where you just know they’re meant to be.

They’re the kind of couple who remind you that love isn’t just about the big milestones it’s in the silly jokes, the shared games, the inside stories, and the way they look at life (and each other) with so much joy.

Can’t wait to see where their next adventure takes them!

Brittany + Houston Step Into The Limelight | Philippe Park | Safety Harbor, FL

From the very first few frames, it was clear: Brittany and Houston just… fit. ❤️

Their connection is effortless — full of quiet glances, shared laughter, and the kind of comfort that comes from knowing you’re exactly where you’re meant to be. We met at Philippe Park for their engagement session, a favorite spot for engagement session photography in Tampa Florida, with its winding trails, sweeping water views, and timeless oak trees. It was the perfect backdrop for this sweet, adventurous couple.

Both Brittany and Houston work in the healthcare field, and you can instantly feel their calming, compassionate energy. They love spending time on the water — fishing, kayaking, paddle boating — and traveling together any chance they get. There’s something really special about couples who not only love each other, but also love doing life together.

I kept the session relaxed and candid, leaning into a photojournalistic photography style to capture their natural dynamic. One of my favorite moments was when they walked together near the water’s edge, lost in conversation, completely unaware of the camera — just two people deeply connected and fully present with one another.

They’ll be tying the knot at the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach in 2026, and I already can’t wait for their big day. If this session was any preview, it’s going to be a wedding full of joy, light, and the kind of love that’s beautiful in its simplicity.

As a Tampa Photographer, I’m grateful for couples like Brittany and Houston — couples who remind me that at the heart of every photo is a real love story worth telling.

Thank you both for trusting me to capture this moment in your journey. Counting down to 2026 already!

Thinking about your own engagement photos? Whether you're dreaming of a nature-filled backdrop like Philippe Park or a coastal sunset shoot, Limelight Photography specializes in timeless, candid engagement session photography in Tampa and beyond. Let’s make something unforgettable together.
