Eva + Tom Step Into The Limelight | Craig Park + Sunset Beach | Tarpon Springs, FL

Eva and Tom met while working at the same ICU in Harlem, NY. Tom is originally from Alabama, and Eva is from right here locally in Tarpon Springs. She lives just moments from Craig Park and Sunset Beach, so these were PERFECT locations for their engagement session.

Together they enjoy walking, reading and taking their dogs on walks. I also just have to mention that Eva is Greek and this is another reason Tarpon Springs was so perfect for their session! Their wedding ceremony will be at St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church - which is where Michael and I were married ourselves! We just really loved working with this sweet couple!

Tom is currently living in Texas on a COVI-19 contract, so we had a very limited window to schedule our session. It started to rain the afternoon of our session, but thankfully it blew over and left behind some super fluffy clouds. The most amazing part is that we had beautiful diffused light throughout the session.

Because of the extreme cloud coverage, I did not think we would see an actual sunset. This was kind of disappointing because in all of  Tom’s visit to see see Eva here in Florida he has never experienced a sunset like we are famous for! Every time it was either overcast and too cloudy to see the sun, or NO clouds at all and just a big blu plain sky. Well….the last 5 minutes of our session the clouds parted and the sun came out shining a brilliant orange as it set over the Gulf of Mexico! It was brilliant and beautiful and the PERFECT end to our time together!

Congratulations Tom and Eva! I know Dafne is so excited to photograph your wedding September!

Cherie + Christopher Step Into The Limelight | Streamsong Resort | Bowling Green, FL

Cherie and Christopher met for the first time at the House of Blues during a concert. Christopher's friends were in the band who were putting on the show and Cherie came with her best friend Katie. Cherie had no interest in a relationship at the time but Christopher was persistent (when you know, you know, right?). After about a year of casually hanging out as friends they went on their first date and the rest is history.

Cut to Christopher’s brother in law’s birthday. He asked Cherie to watch the sunset at a lake front restaurant. While watching the sky change from blue to a warm pink, Christopher got down on one knee and asked Cherie to marry him. She (of course) said YES!

You don’t have to spend too long with this couple to see how well they work together.  Just to prove how in sync they are, their vows both started with dates that were important in their relationship. Christopher’s was the day they met and Cherie’s was the day they started dating.
Christopher and Cherie said their “I Dos’ at the beautiful Streamsong Resort surrounded by love, happiness and family. From Cherie Dj-ing the dance floor to Christopher having his mother/son dance to the tune of TuPac, their wedding was definitely one to remember and we LOVED being a part of it! Congrats to the McBrides!

Taylor + Jim Step Into The Limelight | Sirata Beach Resort | St. Petersburg, FL

Taylor & Jim have known each other since high school socially, became close as they finished college and fell in love! They took their first cruise to the Caribbean and Jim proposed on the highest point on the ship at sunset. They love trying new restaurants, going to the movies, staying home and ordering in takeout and watching tv. Taylor & Jim enjoy going for nightly dog walks. They love to travel to new places, and try to go somewhere new every 6 months or so.

Their wedding day at Sirata Beach Resort was filled with lots of love and laughter… their family + friends game is strong! It was an intimate yet fun wedding to say the least… it was simple, elegant and it incorporated lots of greenery for a modern feel. The rain tried to take over but these two made sure to enjoy each moment… and Florida decided to grace us with a gorgeous fiery red sunset… it was simply perfect in every way. Lots and lots of beautiful memories were made and fun was had… we LOVED being a part of such a joyous day for Taylor & Jim. Congratulations to the gorgeous couple!

Tori + Derek Step Into The Limelight | The Florida Aquarium | Tampa, FL

“A love like the sea, endless, deep and completely unique”

Tori and Derek met at a local country bar in 2014 but didn’t connect again until a year later at a mutual friend’s birthday party. Derek ended up driving Tori home that night and they have been inseparable ever since.

Years later,Tori and Derek were with their families on a camping trip at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Campground and Resort. One night, Derek told Tori they were going to watch the fireworks at the Grand Floridian. Instead of heading to the beach,Derek surprisedTori with a ride on the Grand OneYacht.TheYacht anchored down right in front of the Cinderella castle and three minutes into the fireworks, Derek got down on one knee.Their families cheered as Tori said yes! How magical is that?! .

“We complement each other with our personalities in a good way.We love that we enjoy doing all the same things and miss each other when we are not together. I love the way he provides for me and always keeps me safe. He loves me for my kindness and loyalty. We have built a relationship on trust and believe that’s key to happiness”

Tori and Derek tied the knot in front of a few sea friends (and a couple more human friends) at The Florida Aquarium. It was a magical evening and we loved being a part of this couple’s special day!
