Miriam + Tyler Step Into The Limelight | Powel Crosley Estate | Sarasota, FL

Katie and Tyler:

“We met in 2011 while working at a retail store in Westchase and started dating in 2012. Katie will still claim that Tyler tricked her into going out on their first date to Boston's restaurant in Tampa. Our first date (that Katie may or may not have been tricked into) was perfect. It was from that moment that our story began to take shape. Shortly after that, we met the families. We both have very large families, Tyler introduced Katie to part of his family at a Superbowl party at his Mom and Stepdad's house. When Tyler opened the door, every single person (about 25 people) turned their heads in unison directly at us (thanks guys!). Katie was the first girl Tyler ever brought home, so we imagine that they all knew she was pretty special. When Katie brought Tyler to her parent's house for the first time, she told them she was bringing a friend home for dinner she "forgot" to mention 2 small details. 1. We were dating, and 2. Tyler is 6'7". The first words Katie's dad said were "I didn't know you were bringing a linebacker to dinner, I would have bought more steak". We consider ourselves very blessed in many ways. We have loved, laughed, cried, and supported each other through all of our adventures the last 7 years and are looking forward to a lifetime more. Together, we stand tall (Tyler doesn't have the option not to) and always endure whatever life throws our way. In 2016 we bought our first house together and made it our home. On our one year anniversary of homeownership, Tyler proposed. Katie had no idea that Tyler had bought a ring, talked to her mom, and was ready to start their next chapter together. Tyler presented Katie with a jewelry box, too large to be a ring box, but too small to hold much else. She yelled at Tyler, "What did you buy?! I told you to stop spending money". She opened the box, which was a decoy box and saw the ring box inside. As she opened the ring box, Tyler asked the big question. Katie, shocked, stood there (for what felt like an hour to Tyler), and said YES!

Off we go to start our next chapter. We are so blessed and thankful to share it with all of you! Thank you, everyone, for being a part of our big day. Each of you is part of our story. Family and friends are very important to both of us and we look forward to seeing you from the altar!”

The Wedding Day

Words cannot describe just how beautiful and lively the entire day was for these two love birds. Katie and Tyler both got ready at their venue, the gorgeous Crosley Powel Estate in Sarasota. First thing to do, first look! The couple both got ready with the help of their bridal party. Cufflinks, blue earrings, pearls, suits, dresses and shoes that were specifically chosen to match their specially days’ decor, color and style. Touches of blue EVERYWHERE! The time finally came when they would see each other. Tyler was so excited and happy when he say Katie, all they could do is smile and laugh which was the sweetest thing to witness and capture.

The ceremony and reception were nothing short of more funny moments and laughter.  Their love and happiness was contagious and everyone just seemed to exude pure joy and happiness for the day, and the couple. It was simply BEAUTIFUL!

Congratulations to the new mr. and mrs!!!

Karen + Joey Step Into The Limelight | St. Pete Museum of Fine Arts | St. Petersburg, FL

In August of 2014, Karen and Joey met through a combination of mutual friends while working at the same place. Joey quickly discovered Karens Kind and caring nature, while, Karen really enjoyed Joey’s sense of humor and how he was always making her laugh. In November, they decided to start dating.

Knowing Karens love of museums, Joey attempted to propose at The Ringling Museum of Art in Sarasota, however, Karen wasn’t prepared to go to the museum because she was too hungry. Instead of going to the museum, Joey proposed to Karen with a beautiful Emerald engagement ring in the comfort of their own home.

Karen and Joey love watching TV and movies, eating out and trying new restaurants, but their favorite is to travel and visit museums. Which is where the inspiration for their wedding location came from. Not only do they have a love for downtown St Pete, they also love the beauty of the Museum of Fine Arts as well.

Joey and Karen’s wedding was not your typical wedding, there was no theme. I know that sounds strange to others, but I found it amazingly refreshing. After all, they weren’t throwing a birthday or Halloween party, it was their wedding day! They chose to incorporate details that were very unique to them. For example, they had emerald green groomsmen details and bridesmaids dresses, to showcase the engagement ring and the love of their relationship. Next, they had books as their table numbers, because they love to read. They had a Lego cake topper of a bride and groom and a thumb print guest book in the theme of the movie “UP.”

Congratulations on becoming husband and wife Karen and Joey!

Abby + Eric Step Into The Limelight | Sirata Beach Resort | St. Petersburg, FL

Abby and Eric met In April of 2017 when a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. Eric drove two hours to take Abby out for dinner and drinks. They hit it off right away and have now been together for over 2 years. One day, when they were on vacation in Punta Cana,  Eric got down on one knee and asked for Abby’s hand in marriage. Of course, she said yes!

Eric and Abby both love to travel and love the beach. His family lives in Ohio, while Abby’s family lives in Illinois. They were going to have a wedding in Indianapolis as a central location, but when they realized Abby’s grandparents wouldn't be able to make a 2 hour drive, they both decided to have a small ceremony for them at home and then take off and get married on the beach with their closest family and friends in Florida. Since both Abby and Eric love the beach, Eric did some research on locations and made plans to call a few locations. They fell in love with Sirata Beach Resort.

On the day of their wedding, Abby’s bridesmaids wore sunflower yellow dresses and the men were in gray and white outfits. Abby wore a beautiful, white gown and held the most colorful and lively bouquet of flowers. Each groomsmen had a different colored boutonniere and the bridesmaids had bold colored bouquets as well. The day was sunny with a clear blue sky. It was simply perfect for these two!

Allison + Ethan Step Into The Limelight | Harborside Chapel + The Rusty Pelican | Tampa, FL

Allison and Ethan first met at CevicheTappas Restaurant in down town St.Pete after talking online for a few weeks. More than anything Ethan loves making Allison laugh, loves how incredibly kind she is and he says she has never met someone with a bigger heart. Allison loves that Ethan is so funny and entertaining! He is so patient and calm, and incredibly supportive. They never run of things to say and do together and they love being home together. They both enjoy seeing movies and binging on their favoriteTV shows. They like to visit family and travel together to different countries. Ethan found a quite spot near a beautiful fountain in the gardens of Versailles palace to propose one evening.

Their wedding was an elegant yet relaxed celebration of their marriage with all our family and friends. Everyone had a great time and danced the night away with them. The vibe of Rusty Pelican provided a cozy atmosphere and the beautiful water surrounding the location added to the romantic ambiance. When Allison and Nick first saw Harborside Chapel they knew it was where they wanted to get married-it’s so so simple and beautiful! Like a new canvas for us to paint their marriage.

Colors are the wedding included navy blue, peony pink, blush, white, cream, eucalyptus green and a hint of fuchsia.  Some of their favorite wedding details included the Chapel itself, Allison’s dress, the wedding arbor, the floral arrangements and the atmosphere. Allison created all the center-pieces for the wedding. The groom Ethan brother and father built the wedding arbor for the wedding ceremony. Their DIY floral arrangements were lush with greenery and included blush, white and peony roses and a few fuchsia roses in a background of eucalyptus and mixed deep greens, complimented by floating candles.

This special day was the beginning of their story, and shared with their closest and most loved family and friends.

What do you think will be your highlights from the ceremony and reception? I think we both are looking forward to sharing the our special day with family and friends. Relaxed. Excited. Emotional. Happy. MARRIED! Congratulations Allison + Ethan!

Our first model Amy is a Limelight Photography bride!

A Bit About Amy:

We had used Limelight photography for our engagement and wedding in November 2017, and we could not have loved the pictures more. It was evident to see that they captured the complete gamut of emotions we had on our special day. {Engagement session may be viewed here.} Carlos Rello photographed Amy and Aaron’s wedding at Palm Lake Christian Church and the Museum or Arts, St Pete. {Wedding images may be viewed here}.  As a St. Petersburg native, I am blessed to live and work in a city that I truly love. I am a pediatric dentist, and that allows me to interact with, educate, and take care of childrens’ needs on a daily basis; it’s also how I met my husband, who is also a pediatric dentist! We love to spend our time travelling, both to our favorite places as well as exploring new places together. We also love to cheer for our beloved Gators!

Amy's Modeling Experience:When I saw Rebecca’s posting for any available brides to help model for a photo shoot, I felt like it was a no-brainer! Not only would I love the experience to have beautiful pictures taken again, but who could say no to the opportunity to look glamorous, too?

Although the day of the shoot was a chilly, Friday morning, once I arrived at the Embassy Suites in Downtown Tampa, it was nothing but so much warmth! I had the pleasure of “modeling” alongside a wonderfully sweet and beautiful woman, Ashley, who quickly turned into a friend. The staff at the Embassy, both Samantha and Dana checked on us throughout the day to make sure we had anything and everything we needed, even including a plate full of delicious desserts at the end of the photo shoot.  The hair & make up duo did a fantastic job of creating very dramatic and glamorous looks for us. It really is an amazing experience to have TWO people working on you a once….talk about feeling like a celebrity!

I cannot say enough for Rebecca, our photographer. It’s incredible to watch her artistic process and creative visions for each shoot come to life. We had the best time posing all over the Embassy Suites…by the gorgeous pool, in several ballrooms, in guest suites, and outside. Rebecca’s direction as to the look and pose she wanted for a particular picture was so thorough and easy for us to follow. Honestly, it was one of the best experiences I have ever had and am truly appreciative for the opportunity to have been one of her models! Thank you, Limelight and Embassy Suites!

Breezin’ Entertainment assisted with providing Ashley, one of their very own brides, to model for the fabulous shoot!

A Bit About Ashley:

I am an optimist who is driven, motivated to succeed and see others succeed. As a people person, I believe relationships are critical to success with clients, co-workers and in one’s personal life. I'm outgoing and energetic and love getting to know others and truly believe people are inherently good-hearted.

I love being active and find that I am always choosing to be on-the-go.  As a native Floridian, I love being close to the water and my favorite summer day absolutely includes going to the beach and reading a beach novel or boating. In addition to the beach, I love any type of outdoor activities including bike riding, walking along Bayshore or playing organized sports. I love a good workout and usually hit the gym at least 4 days per week.

I guess I'd consider myself a foodie and am always looking forward to new, local restaurants to try out with friends. I'm also sucker for a good food network show or a binge-worthy series. While I'm no gourmet chef, I do like to get creative in the kitchen with my cooking and baking -- so far, the hubby hasn't complained with the end results!

Ashley’s Modeling Experience:

Being part of the Embassy Suites photo shoot was SO. MUCH. FUN. At 30, you never think you'd be able to break into the modeling world (especially if this is not your main job) however, this opportunity came knocking and during a photo shoot with Limelight and the Embassy Suites of Downtown Tampa, I felt like a celebrity!

Arriving at the Embassy, Samantha, Embassy's Senior Catering Manager, greeted me and made sure the first thing we did after putting my belongings down was take a trip downstairs to Starbucks (she really knew the key to my heart-- COFFEE). This type of hospitality continued throughout the day. Between Samantha, Dana and the rest of the Embassy team, they genuinely seem to care about our well being. The team was present throughout the day to help ensure we were well fed and hydrated. They were also incredibly friendly and fun to talk with. While business was on the forefront of their mind, I felt like I had the opportunity to get to know the team and understand their vision based on the time spent together. This really helped to make shoot that much more enjoyable.

Having my hair and makeup done really helped contribute to my celebrity-like feeling. The hair and makeup team was efficient with their time and focused on what style and 'look' was going to work best for my facial structure as well as my dress. The best part was that as creatives, the HMU team selected a look that I would not have necessarily selected for myself. My favorite part was how much my eyes popped with the makeup selected. This opened my perspective to the possibilities of styles I can try within my day-to-day life.

While not a model by trade, some may be uncomfortable in front of the camera. For me, although I wouldn't consider myself shy, any potential feeling of being uncomfortable was extinguished once Rebecca with Limelight Photography began working shooting. She instantly found a way to relate to us and make us feel comfortable which is so important so that a calm and relaxed demeanor translates into the photographs. Rebecca was very professional and also made sure that she communicated what she wanted during each shoot. The best part of the whole thing was how much fun we all had together. While we had a timeline and shots that were needed, I never felt rushed nor pressured. It was an enjoyable atmosphere and a blast! I am hopeful that I have the opportunity to do it again.
