I am over the moon about this absolutely amazing weekend in Key West where I was blessed to be able to photograph the wedding of my friend Leah and her new husband Chris! The newlyweds were married in a beautiful ceremony at the Ernest Hemingway House and celebrated with a private dinner reception at Mangoes on Duval St. The wedding day was perfect in every way! After a very sweet first look between the bride and groom we were able to spend some time taking photographs while traveling around Key West before the ceremony and afterward we were treated to a beautiful sunset at Fort Zachary State Park that evening! The couple and their friends and family welcomed me with open arms and an amazing time was had by all! Leah and I attended high school together in Wisconsin and haven't seen each other in almost 20 years but getting to spend time together that weekend made it feel like yesterday! It was so fun to catch up, meet Chris and work with them on their amazing wedding day! I was also able to photograph a fantastic day after session with the couple and their Jeep Wrangler on the beach and I am thrilled with how these unique and fun portraits turned out! Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Achey! Thank you for allowing me to capture your special day!

Kristin and Matthew’s wedding day was perfect from the amazing venue to the lovely family and friends to the beautiful details and of course the stunning bride and groom. The Portofino Bay Hotel literally takes you to Italy… we felt like we were in a small Italian village, which is so fitting since they love being outside and traveling together. Kristin and Matthew were married outside in the Citrus Piazza… this was a perfect setting to exchange their vows and say I Do in front of all of their loved ones. Following pictures in the Piazza and grand staircase, was an elegant reception, the ballroom was just beautiful with unique up lighting, amazing centerpieces, beautiful flowers and luscious greenery.

We are so honored to have been a part of their wedding day and to capture this beautiful couple on their wedding day… Congratulations Kristin and Matthew!!

LEIYEN AND ALLAN STEP INTO THE LIMELIGHT |SOUTH INLET PARK |DEERFIELD BEACH , FL

Fate brought Leiyen and Allan together when they met unexpectedly on an airplane while sitting next to each other in 2010. They have such a strong bond and connection in the love they share. They enjoy liming, listening to music and working out together. We met Leiyen and Allan at South Inlet Park in Deerfield Beach, FL for their engagement portrait session. We had a beautiful sky full of clouds. We managed to keep on taking pictures during a light rain that popped up in the middle of our session without skipping a beat! This is such a sweet and fun couple – truly a joy to work with!

MICHELLE AND MATTHEW FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT |HYATT REGENCY CLEARWATER BEACH RESORT AND SPA |CLEARWATER BEACH, FL

I walked into a room full of laughter. The bride, Michelle, I couldn’t even find at first as she intermingled about the ladies taking in all the moments without stress and with radiance. As we set to do details all the ladies gathered together, one feeding off of the other laughing and joking as though they were family, and that they were. The guys were the same, Carlos photographed them and they went about joking amongst another not forgetting what the day was about as Matt got ready. We took full appreciation of them before the ceremony, gravitating toward their warmth and excitement! What stood out the most was not the weather (though it shaded them when they walked down the aisle and said their I do’s, to providing a beautiful sunset) or the choice style (elegant with a splash of a nautical feel) or their decision where to marry (on the beautiful Terrace the Hyatt Regency provides), it was the gracious manner they held for others, the love for one another not losing its importance and their son that made it standout the most. Even before Matthew saw Michelle for the first time, he was choked up. He anticipated the woman walking to him and gravitated into the moment. Michelle, the gorgeous bride in return found her moment as her mother gave her away to the love of her life and father to her son. They said their I do’s overlooking the Gulf on the terrace, they involved themselves with each guest, they laughed and joked with everyone around and in-between that kept close to one another. They danced the night away. Every piece of their day ran smoothly. Matt joked that he made sure he picked up a penny that day only heads up, but I believe it had nothing to do with luck, this perfect wedding everything to do with them and their mindset. Not only did these two have a most beautiful day, but all that was put into it, every loved one, every detail, all the celebration made it perfect for them. Congratulations to Michelle and Matt, we loved every aspect of your wedding and are so grateful you chose Limelight to be a part of it! Here are a few favorites from that day!

VICTORIA AND AARON FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT |WESTIN TAMPA BAY |TAMPA , FL

Victoria and Aaron had a waterside wedding at the Westin Tampa Bay Hotel. Friends and family traveled in from near and far to be with these two on their special day. Guests enjoyed the lovely exchange of vows by the water and then went on to celebrate in one of the hotels beautiful ballrooms. Victoria and Aaron love traveling, music, cooking together, and spending time with friends and family, Aaron even included their closest friends and family on the proposal. During a surprise birthday dinner at Ocean Prime, he proposed, and Victoria said yes! It was wonderful working with this sweet couple and congrats to the newlyweds!! :)
