ALISON AND MICHAEL FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT | SUNKEN GARDENS | THE BIRCHWOOD | ST. PETERSBURG , FL

Alison and Michael had a beautiful wedding day in downtown St. Petersburg. This was an international affair with guests traveling in from across the Atlantic.  Guests joined these two in the lush scenery of Sunken Gardens for the ceremony, and then traveled to the Birchwood to continue their celebration in one of the hotels ballrooms. In Alison's words, these two met,  “At MacDintons Tampa very late one night! He stopped me as I was leaving and I gave him my phone number. Turns out, for the longest time before we went on a first date, he had me in his phone as "Cute Russian Chick"! Who knew a British accent sounded Russian?! He will never live that down! After our first sushi date, we knew there was something between us. After the first time he came to my house and met my parents, my dog crashed into his leg with such excitement and they had an immediate bond. He misses our Henry as much as I do! Six years later...the rest is history!” Their history turned into a marriage proposal that Alison said yes :)  One day… “At sunset on the beach at Tortuga Inn on Anna Maria Island. We had been going there every year since we met for Mike's birthday, and this year seemed no different so I didn't suspect a thing! He almost backed out- I was not feeling well and then a thunderstorm approached and he decided it was a bad omen! My sister Nicola, being the level-headed person she is, told him to snap out of it (ha ha!) and I'm so glad she did :) We walked down to the beach on the way to dinner and the post thunderstorm sky was so beautiful that unsuspecting me almost didn't realize that Mike was trying to propose, while I tried to take sunset photos! Oops! How could I say no to that ring?! It was stunning. My sister took discreet photos from afar and then my parents came onto the beach holding Veuve Clicquot champagne that my heavily pregnant sister had sent for the occasion. We face timed with her and my brother in law and all celebrated on the beach together as a family. It could not have been more perfect or more of a complete surprise!” It was great working with these two and congratulations to the newlyweds! :)

ALYSSA AND HUNTER FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT | POWEL CROSLEY ESTATE | SARASOTA, FL

Alyssa and Hunter were so amazing to work with on their wedding day.  Choosing to have their special day at the beautiful and amazing Powel Crosley Estate which is nestled right in Sarasota and sits on the water.  Their ceremony was so beautiful set in front of the pavilion with the oak trees creating a canopy over head with the late afternoon sunlight coming through right above the couple as they said their vows to each other.  After the ceremony we were able to get so many great pictures with family, wedding party and bride and groom all over the property.

The bride and groom entered their party by descending the beautiful staircase of the Powel Crosley onto the dance floor to share their first dance as husband and wife.  The sun set beautifully behind them, across the water, as they danced with each other and then Alyssa with her father and Hunter with his mother.  Such a beautiful scene with the lights draped above them and the glow of the sun setting behind them.

The dinner tables were set up in the main room of the house, with candles and beautiful center pieces and flowers, it made for a cozy, romantic dinner ambiance.  They served family style meals, of shrimp, chicken, rice, veggies and more… which I thought was a wonderful way for their guests to enjoy a meal together.

While the guests enjoyed their dinner, the best man, maid of honor and the father of the bride all gave wonderful speeches, then the dancing started, the cake was cut and the bride and groom along with their family and closest friends danced the night away under the stars!

Congratulations Alyssa and Hunter!!

TINA AND NICK FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT | COUNTRYSIDE COUNTRY CLUB | CLEARWATER, FL

On a beautiful day on the beach celebrating the 4th of July these two met. This pairing was a God-send. During the ceremony it was noted that Tina had been looking for someone that was spiritual as Nick was. They were drawn to each other and Nick said this upon their first look ‘I got butterflies all over again like I did the first day we met’ WOW! That moment really set the day! It was a busy one, but between all that they managed to take in moments and enjoy this day that they were bringing a family together. Their son Theo was able to walk down the aisle towards his daddy to make way for his mother escorted by her mother. Although it was a windy day, it was also a beautiful one! We loved the coral and creams that flowed with spring time, but we loved more Tina and Nick. They were so kind with so much flare! These two were hand-picked by God for sure, you can see it by their love and respect for each other, for Theo and all of their family and friends who joined in their celebration!

We just loved these two and here are a few favorites from their big day!

LAUREN AND DREW FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT |HYATT REGENCY CLEARWATER BEACH RESORT AND SPA | CLEARWATER BEACH, FL

Lauren and Drew were so amazing to work with during their beautiful Clearwater beach wedding.  Sitting atop the 16th floor of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort is this amazing spot called the Sky Terrace, with views over looking Clearwater beach and the ocean beyond, it’s an amazing place to say I Do.

From Indiana this couple set out on an adventure to have a beautiful beach wedding… they were graced with a perfect FL day, not a cloud in the sky, a cool breeze and an amazing sunset.  Their two sweet girls were the flower girls and held parasol umbrellas that said on one “Here Comes” and on the other “Your Bride”, which I thought was so sweet and fun for the girls.  You could see how special they felt to be such an important part of the ceremony and we can’t leave out the ring bearer who walked in holding his little black briefcase that said “Ring Security”.

After taking some beautiful shots of the family all together, we did some wedding party shots and then headed down to the beach for some more fun wedding party shots and some Bride and Groom sunset shots.  After pictures on the beach, Lauren and Drew had a wonderful reception with an amazing dinner for their guests.  I loved their shell details surrounded by candle light, their beautiful cake also with shell details and of course lots of dancing.

Congratulations Lauren and Drew!

KARA AND LUKE FEATURED IN THE LIMELIGHT | SOUTH SEAS ISLAND RESORT | CAPTIVA, FL

Kara and Luke were married in a beautiful ceremony and reception at the South Seas Island Resort in Captiva, FL!  This fun-loving couple planned a destination wedding and flew down from Chicago with their closest friends and family to enjoy the sand and sun of the Sanibel and Captiva area.  The bride has been vacationing there her entire life and both the bride and groom love spending their down time relaxing on the beach.  They could think of no better place to exchange vows and say “I Do!” then the island they adore.  It was a beautiful day full of sunshine and love and I was inspired by the clean and modern theme as well as the beautiful red tropical flowers that added a lovely pop of color to this light and classic wedding.  The groom chose navy blue for his attire which complimented perfectly with the back drop of the Gulf of Mexico. It was fun to incorporate the couple’s sunglasses for a few shots on the dock and we were blessed with a beautiful sunset for a champagne toast on the beach before enjoying a fun filled party with their guests!

Kara and Luke met 5 years ago through mutual friends in Chicago and Luke proposed in front of the Eiffel Tower in Paris!  They love EVERYTHING about each other and especially each other’s loyalty, values and sense of humor.  They value their friends and family and wanted nothing more than to spend a full wedding weekend celebrating with those that were able to make the journey to witness their marriage ceremony.  It was a true pleasure to capture this special day!  Congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Arneson!
