Julia + Zachary Step Into The Limelight | The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club | St. Petersburg, FL

Julia and Zachary met back in 2012 all thanks to being set up for a sorority date function.  Julia was originally supposed to go with Garet (one of Zach's groomsmen) but luckily he was already booked to go out with one of her good friends that night. Garet, so kindly suggested his roommate Zachary go with Julia and the rest as is history!

In May of 2018, Zach finally asked the big question!  They were on a vacation in Punta Cuna with Julia’s parents and they got to have a romantic poolside dinner.  At the end of the night, Zach brought out a souvenir coin from the first weekend they had spent together and totally surprised Julia by asking her to marry him.  He even made the proposal even more perfect by making sure Julia’s parents were there.

Julia LOVES Zack’s sense of humor, his loyalty and bluntness. Together they enjoy football and share a love with Bella, their dog.

In September, Julia and Zack said their I-DO’s at The Vinoy Renaissance St. Petersburg Resort & Golf Club. Their ceremony took place outdoor in the Tea Garden which was lined with white chairs and a large arch floral arrangement made up of green foliage and white roses. After they were pronounced husband and wife, the door to the Grand Ballroom open up for all their invited guests. It was beautiful decorated with tall and short floral arrangements, silver chairs and chargers, candles everywhere and a white wedding cake. It was breathtaking!

Congratulations to the newlyweds!!!

Jessie + Mike Step Into The Limelight | Marco Beach Ocean Resort | Marco Beach, FL

One sunny day at the NYC Medical Examiner’s Morgue….(2012) Two bright-eyed and bushy-tailed 4th year medical students shared a cadaver, but little did they know, they were soon to be co-interns in general surgery at NYU. Mike was smitten almost immediately… Jessie required a little more convincing. But after two years of battling in the trenches of residency together and becoming close friends, Mike (while subtly fending off other suitors) finally worked up the courage and held her hand… under the table, at a bar. It was a little weird. Yet here we are, nearly 4 years later, happily engaged and very much in love. Mike has come to appreciate Jessie's passion for burn-your-face-off spicy food and Jessie has watched all of the Star Wars films (Episodes I-VIII, but not in that order).

Jessie’s dad, Dingwei, was very ill, very suddenly, with pancreatic cancer and hospitalized at NYU Langone Medical Center where both Jessie and Mike work. While Mike had been saving up for a big ring, given these circumstances, he decided to push up the timeline. He secretly got a pearl ring that he knew Jessie loved, snuck into the hospital to get Dingwei’s blessing in secret and showed him the ring. He then found Jessie at home on the couch and proposed on one knee in their apartment.  They then immediately called Mike’s parents before running into the hospital to share the moment with Dingwei and Liya (Jessie’s Mom). On September 8, 2017, when Mike surprised her in their little NYC apartment living room with the ring of her dreams, the only answer was, “Yes!” They had planned to get married in an intimate backyard ceremony in Princeton NJ 9/16/18, however given Dingwei’s untimely death, they postponed the wedding.

Jessie and Michael love everything about each other. They are a team. Jessie says: “Mike is super smart, compassionate to his patients, extremely nerdy and funny, the right kind of weird, is the heart of every party, quick to smile, effortlessly charming to a fault. Makes me laugh. Knows my strengths and weaknesses and loves them all. Supports me in difficult times without hesitation.” Mike says: “Jessie is beautiful, brilliant and talented. Her smile is infectious and she lights up every room. She is kind and caring and a devoutly loyal friend. Loving her has made me a better man. She’s also my kind of weird.”

Together they enjoy cooking, exploring new neighborhoods and restaurants in NYC, traveling and going to Marco Island. Their destination beach wedding was filled with some Marco magic where friends, family and loved ones gathered to relax and have a good time away from the hustle and bustle of NYC.

They fell in love with Marco Island after a couple vacations there. Luckily it is also a popular destination for Mike’s extended family over the years. 5/4/19 wasn’t the original date, but became the date that worked for the majority of the family. Mike is also a HUGE Star Wars fan, and was thrilled to have the date fall on “May the Fourth…” which generated their wedding hashtag #Maythe4thBeWithYu Noteably… this was NOT a Star Wars-themed wedding BUT Mike did still try to sneak in some hints of it. Their wedding was simple, modern and timeless. “A little bit of NYC in Marco! Jessie changed into a Chinese traditional dress and outfit right before the afterparty (Shanghai Speak Easy theme).

The private first look was romantic and genuine. Michael an Jessie loved the aesthetic of the arches/driveway as well as the wooden boardwalk out to the beach for the ceremony.  A very special note of importance is that the officiant is Jessie’s jewish grandmother/godmother. A soloist performed a beautiful singing performance. And they had a small Chinese portion of the ceremony and exchanged wine that was a gift from Jessie’s dad Dingwei. They are a fun-loving, warm couple who threw a great party and danced with their friends and family in celebration of starting a new chapter of their lives together.  After all guests mingled on the beach for cocktail hour they danced the night away with loved ones. Intimate, Festive, Romantic, Laid-back, Modern but classy

Sarika + Shivan | Step Into The Limelight | Clearwater Recreation Center & Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach Resort and Spa | Clearwater Beach, FL

March 1st, 2019

Sarika + Shivan welcomed their wedding guests from around the world to Florida with an amazingly creative World Market Party! Their guests were whisked from their hotel to the event by Trolley and upon arrival they were met by two food trucks lit up by market lights. Staying true to their Indian roots and their market party theme they fitted the inside of the Clearwater Recreation Center with a beautiful jewel toned mandap where guests were met by a henna artist, moroccan lanterns, ceiling drapery with multicolored hanging umbrellas, and an authentic Indian food cart with travel themed party favors.

Sarika, Shivan and their guests were impressed and so joyful to start the weekend celebration.

March 2nd, 2019

Sarika + Shivan met each other in Phoenix, Arizona in April of 2016. They immediately loved that they had mutual interests in hiking, mountain biking, traveling, going to the gym, and foodie festivals. The ‘like’ with one another eventually grew into the love for one another. She loves his caring nature and he loves her passion and ambition.

While at the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, North Carolina, Sarika and Shivan took a horse and carriage ride to the top of the hill overlooking the Estate. While overlooking this castle-like building Shivan proposed to Sarika.

Sarika + Shivan's wedding was like a Sri Lanken-Indian fusion fairytale with the ceremony at the very top of the Hyatt Regency Clearwater Beach. It felt as if you were up in the clouds!

Congratulations to Sarika + Shivan, we are so happy for you!

Gabriella + Michael Step Into The Limelight | The Floridan Palace Hotel | Tampa, FL

Gabriella and Michael met each other during the famous pirate invasion of Tampa event called Gasparilla in 2015. They had been out with friends celebrating when they just so happen to meet at Macdintons. Michael came up to strike up a conversation after just moving back to the Tampa area and the rest is history!

On Christmas Eve 2017, they were at Gabriella's mother's house having dinner. Somehow, Michael had found the time to sneak away and ask her parent's permission to marry me. Michael surprised her with plane tickets to Hawaii, a place that she had always dreamed of going! They left the morning after Christmas and had an absolute blast. On New Years Eve, they went for a walk on one of the private beaches. They sat on the beach when all of a sudden, Michael got down on one knee and proposed. They rang in the new year in Hawaii and could not wait to come home and celebrate with their family and friends!

Gabriella has this to say about her love for Michael, “Michael has an awesome sense of humor, he is a great friend and gets along with everyone! His laugh is contagious and so unique. He keeps me calm and always is my voice of reason. I love to travel with him because he loves trying new things and always keeps an open mind. He works very hard and is a loyal son, is great with his family and mine.”
Together they bring out the best in each other and have a sense of humor and their LAUGHING is contagious! They enjoy lounging by the pool or beach, traveling and cooking together.

They wanted their wedding to be very romantic and traditional. They knew that they wanted to embrace Tampa's culture and show their guests why they love this city so much. Everything felt fresh but still warm with florals and lighting. The Floridan is so iconic and grandiose, boasting the most beautiful architecture and was absolutely stunning during the holiday season. The black tie attire certainly matched the ambiance and set the tone for a glamorous final weekend in 2018!

Gabriella was most excited for her wedding dress and they both loved their band, the florals. They also had some amazing details during the cocktail hour that are unique to Tampa - a cigar aficionado and a flamenco guitarist!

Gabriella and Michael really love to have fun and entertain, and they certainly paid attention to every little at the biggest party they will ever have! They picked out each detail together so that everything at the wedding was a reflection of both of their families and history, and the different pieces that bring them happiness.

So many special emotional moments throughout the day left all of the guests feeling overjoyed and in awe of the elegant decor. You could see and feel the love as Gabriella was first walking down the aisle with her dad, when her dad gave her away and as Gabriella and Michael said their vows. The excitement and celebration of love continued as their shared their first kiss and first dance as husband and wife with all of the most special people in our lives being in one room witnessing their joy.
